Let us introduce ourselves! We’re Justin and Katie Vander Meer. We’ve been married since 2019, moved from Chicago to Charlotte early 2020, and we have a chiweenie named Peanut. Justin is a avid kayaker and Katie loves to indoor rock climb. We enjoy hiking and exploring our new state now that parks have opened trails to visitors again. We bought our first home in 2021 and have been trying and failing at remodeling! 🤪 Katie enjoys antique shopping and thrifting while Justin loves craft beer and pizza! We love God above all and hope to bring a smile to your feed 😁

‘Hanging Rock State Park is part of the Sauratown Mountains, also known as “the mountains away from the mountains" because they are separated from the Blue Ridge Mountains. Named after the Saura Indians who were early inhabitants of the region. The Sauratown Mountains are the remnants of a once-mighty range of peaks… Over many millions of years, wind, water and other forces wore them away. Our newest vlog is live!! March 7th we moved Katie down to North Carolina and celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary. Little did we know at the time that we would be given stay at home order just a week later. Justin quickly moved down March 17th with all the quarantine craziness... so stay tuned for our next vlog showing you what we have been doing during quarantine.

Heyder, hoder, hider!

Justin and I created this vlog channel so we can capture our life and be able to look back years from now and enjoy seeing how we’ve grown and changed together.

We felt this was the best way to remember life as it unfolds, since we are still in our 1st year of marriage!

We can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.
