Wow!

That’s about all I can say to wrap up last night.

A beautiful space filled with absolutely powerful women.

Beautiful, uplifting, laughter and maybe even some tears.

I am so proud to know the women in the magazine and be surrounded by more women, powerfully shaping our tucson business community.

FINALLY OPEN! Nominations for the next edition of REfashiond Magazine.

A few things you may or may not know about the women who are selected:

✨ 👉🏻Women are nominated at the link below -- and we love when you nominate yoruself too!

✨👉🏻Our selection committee reads every submission and chooses the potential women for a round 2 of selection based on what you write. So be thorough!

✨👉🏻When chosen for round two, the women are sent an email requesting more info and their own thoughts. The selection committee then chooses our 7 women to be recognized based on their own feedback + the initial nomination form.

✨👉🏻The women selected get a complimentary photo shoot and 1 image, on us. We never expect or require additional purchases.

✨👉🏻👉🏻I repeat: There is NO COST. I have heard that some other similar ventures charge women to be featured. This is not the case because your spot in the magazine can not be bought. The women selected get their spot because they EARNED it by the work and connections they have done in the community.

✨👉🏻Please note, if you are selected, know that Renee and I carve our time out for these session, and are not able to book a paying client in it's place, simply not showing up is unacceptable and frankly hurts credibility to remain in the magazine. Please communicated if there are concerns. ❤️

✨👉🏻Because we do not charge the women in the magazine, to help keep our magazine running, ads and articles are an important part. Please help support us in this way so we can keep celebrating women who are showing up and killing it in our community.

“I [once] measured success by the fullness of my schedule and the size of my dental practice which led to exhaustion and overwhelm. "Red has always been my favorite color since I was a young girl. I remember my red and white room with little hearts on my bedding and matching wallpaper that my mother ordered from the JC Penny catalog. Red symbolized love and comfort to me. It was the selfless love of my mother that shaped me into the strong woman I am today. As I have grown, red has been a color that elicits feelings of confidence and power. When I put on a bold red dress, accessorize in ruby red or just put on my favorite cherry red lipstick, I feel unstoppable and can command any room. “I think in general we just need to start giving women the credit they deserve. Shifting our society's mindset from treating brilliance and success from women from being a novelty, to being a given. We also need to encourage more confidence in women. I used to apologize for just about everything all the time and "sorry" was one of my most frequently used words. It took a long time to break that habit and to let myself feel calm confidence in my work. The impulse still arises in times of stress, and I work on that constantly, but I think if our society showed more appreciation for women generally, this battle that so many of us fight internally would come to an end.” -Margaret Mullin

Jessica: What do you wish you had known when starting out?

Michelle: “How much you speak to yourself on a daily basis. So many one off conversations with the morning afternoon and evening you. LOL Mini employee meetings all damn day long. Because that is so true, you better make many of those conversations positive. Believe in your work and nothing will stop you from achieving greatness. Business ownership of any type is not for the faint of heart but it is so worth it. Failing forward is a true statement in the business ownership world. If you can grasp that concept and run with it you are golden. DO NOT procrastinate. It's all fun and games until it's too late.”

This powerhouse has been through some things to get to where she is today… and incredibly, she’s not done yet.
