When coaching or mentoring a person, we always look for two qualities — High Teachability Index (HTI) and High Willingness to Learn (HWL).
Without HTI, he’ll be burned out soon; without HWL, he’ll lose his self-stirred direction soon; and without these two, the person isn’t ready and committed to reach his next version.
WHEN TO SEEK MENTORING?
If someone is tainted by subjective, painful past or present challenges, he needs to empty his cup and achieve clarity first, thus he can win the present and the future while valuing the lessons of the past.
Without biases and prejudice on material benefits, he can achieve beyond what he is deserving.
WHEN TO SEEK CONSULTANCY?

How to outshine your self defeating thoughts about people not belonging to your league and circle
THE KING ARTHUR EFFECT
Always show appreciation and extramile to people who have different image and often politicized by woke and cultured thinkers.
We don’t know where certain people came from — their struggles, downfalls, hardships and real successes. Oftentimes they have maverick thoughts because they are natural game changers. Their experiences were forged by multitude of realities, until they became ‘disruptors’.
In my childhood, I was taught not to rely on what I can see, because just like salt and sugar — appearance can trick us. Moreover, we don’t know what some people are capable of — their connections and value within their circle so others.
Who knows, you or your children or relatives may be hired by their family in the future or you may be needing their assistance very soon.
Always be good especially when people deserve your good cap. Don’t be mean to people who didn’t do anything bad to you especially when you just heard rumor about one’s imperfections.
To become irritated is to give consent to yourself that you allow other people to irritate you. Period.
Forgive and become friends with your enemies, it’s better to win forces than allowing your ego engulf your character where moral, order and ethics are no longer alive.
If you’re still doing misdeeds and good people are helping you to realize things — it’s time to take charge of yourself and change your life to become a better person with better vision.

It is rare for many people nowadays to connect with a stranger or long time friend without asking for favor.

They ask you questions.
When you answer, they ask you more.
When you start using big words, they ask for clarification.
When they can’t understand anything you’re saying, they ask for you to explain it to them as if they were a five-year-old.
When you say something intriguing, they write it down in their notebook or phone.
These people are not naturally more intelligent. They’re better learners which makes them more intelligent.
Why do they learn better?
They’re genuinely curious and ask questions from a humble standpoint. I’ve met highly successful people who’ve said, “explain it to me and as if I were a five-year-old.”
This simple phrase has changed my life when it comes to learning.
It comes back to the famous Chinese proverb:
“He who asks a question is a fool for five minutes; he who does not ask a question remains a fool forever."
