SSP Jammu Conducts PCPG Meeting with Citizens at City Palace Jammu

Today on 29.06.2024, Dr. Vinod Kumar-IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, accompanied by SDPO City North Jammu and SHO Police Station Pacca Danga Jammu held a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting at City Palace Jammu. The meeting was attended by a large number of prominent citizens and members of the general public from Jammu City.
The SSP Jammu actively listened to the grievances and concerns of the participants, fostering a collaborative atmosphere aimed at improving community safety and security. During the meeting SSP Jammu provided the following important suggestions:
1. Implementation of New Criminal Laws:Participants were briefed on the implementation of new criminal laws to ensure better understanding and compliance within the community.
2. Tenant Verification: Given the current security scenario in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, participants were directed to ensure proper verification of tenants to maintain a secure environment.
3. Handling Suspicious Objects: Attendees were advised not to touch any objects found in suspicious conditions and to inform the police immediately to mitigate potential threats.
4. Reporting Drug Hotspots:The community was encouraged to share information about drug hotspots to assist in combating drug-related issues in the area.
5. Reporting Suspicious Activities:Participants were directed to promptly report any suspicious movements or activities to their respective Police Stations, Police Posts, or the PCR Jammu. Timely reporting is crucial for countering any malicious plans of Anti-National Elements (ANEs) and Anti-Social Elements (ASEs).
This meeting underscores the commitment of the Jammu Police to work closely with the community, enhancing trust and ensuring a safer environment for all residents.

On a reliable source, an information was received at Police Station Bus Stand
that an unknown "_tempo_ _traveller_ " was in over acceleration and high rush and with a remorse and his negligent manner crushed a pedestrian( unknown) who was crossing a road at *BC road* near *Lords in Hotel* ,and fled away from the spot ,due to the accident the pedestrian got miserably hurt and later died on the spot .
On this,a case *FIR no 34/2024 u/s 279/304 A ,got registered and a special team has been constituted under the supervision of *SHO Bus Stand* and after hectic efforts and with the help of _cctv footages_ and human int the driver (accused)namely *Om Parkash s/o Badrinath r/o Champa batote arrested and vehicle No. Jk14b /7601 seized*.
People of the area appreciated the prompt action of Bus Stand Police Station of Jammu Police.

Srinagar, June 29 : Janata Dal United President for Jammu and Kashmir GM Shaheen Saturday participated in executive meeting of the party in New Delhi.

Jammu & Kashmir Police in Jammu District today on 29.06.2024 organised a farewell function to accord a warm send-off to officers who superannuated from their active services in Jammu.Five sub-inspector rank police officers of Jammu Police attained supranation today.
On attaining the age of superannuation,retirees were given a warm send-off by all ranks of Jammu Police. On their retirement, a simple but impressive farewell party was organized at DPL Jammu.
*Speaking on the occasion, SP headquarters Jammu* appreciated the work and dedication of the retiree officers towards their duties. He extended good wishes and healthy post-retirement life to them. He also presented gifts to retirees as a token of love and respect for their exceptional services spanning over more than three decades.

Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse under Operation *SANJEEVANI* Jammu Police achieved major
success by recovering 2 Kg (aprox) of heroin(Chitta) worth crores from a drug peddler couple at bus stand jammu under the jd of bus stand police station.
A Police team of Police Station Bus stand led by SHO P/S bus stand under the direct supervision of SDPO City North and close supervision of SP North while on naka duty at bus stand area in the jurisdiction of PS bus stand arrested a couple namely Showqat Ali and his wife Salima Biwi R/o Jand village Amritsar of Punjab & recovered 2 Kg (aprox)of heroin(Chitta) from their possession.
In this regard,a case FIR No. 33/2024 U/S 8/21/22/29 of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Bus Stand and both the
accused arrested accordingly.
Further investigation of the case is going on including forward and backward linkages in the case
Jammu Police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain.

Sources said that JDU chapter of Jammu and Kashmir raised various issues related to J&K and the party assured the leaders that all these issues will be taken up with the Government of India and resolved in the interest of the people. CYBER CELL OF JAMMU & KASHMIR POLICE IN JAMMU DISTRICT SOLVED ONLINE FINANCIAL FRAUD AMOUNTING TO тВ╣ 2,05,000 Jammu May 13 : Cyber Cell of DPO Jammu of Jammu & Kashmir Police solved online cyber crime complaint.A complaint was received regarding financial fraud of тВ╣2,05,000.The complainant Joined on WhatsApp group for trading and invested money and lost an amount of RS.2,05,000 /. During the investigation, the Cyber Cell DPO Jammu, acted swiftly and exhibited hectic efforts which ultimately led to put on hold an amount of Rs 1,86,164/- out of 2,05,000/ in online cyber crime complaint . Further investigation is underway. District Police Jammu, equipped with advanced technology and skilled personnel, remains at the forefront in the fight against cybercriminals.
House Searches continue in Greater Kailash Murder Case Jammu May 09 : Continuing in its resolve to get to the roots of crime, Jammu Police today on 09.05.2024 conducted simultaneous raids at three locations of the accused and their known associates in the Greater Kailash Murder Case. These three searches were conducted on court orders in the houses of Sheikh Mehmood at Channi, Purushottam Singh at Bishnah and at the house of the driver of Ravinder Gupta at Gangyal. In the raids being conducted so far, more than 60 documents related to land deals and sale along with several digital devices have been seized for further analysis. It is also important to note that the driver of Ravinder Gupta has been closely associated with him for the last several years, allegedly becoming a conduit for ill-gotten gains.
