Little sneak peek of (Hopefully) Tomorrows video. Even with a dud of a sunrise and more smoke than a Snoop Dogg concert the Denver skyline is still pretty nice!

This is one of the earliest video shoots from my landscape photography days. I just never had the guts to post it—until now. I’ve always loved the Paint Mines in Calhan, CO. These sandy stone monoliths and valleys look like something from another planet. Though they capture the imagination and draw the eye, they’re maddeningly difficult to photograph well. There are way too many interesting colors and textures to capture. In most places, the challenge is the opposite—limited options make composition easier. I did my best, captured a few shots I like, and plenty I don’t… but I won’t show you those. Let’s just pretend they don’t exist.
