• Huwag mag-abroad kung hindi mo kayang magtiis at magsakripisyo.

• Huwag mag-abroad kung hindi ka malakas.

• Huwag mag-abroad kung nagrereklamo ka lang.

• Huwag pumunta sa ibang bansa kung hindi mo makakain ang iyong pride.

• Huwag pumunta sa ibang bansa kung hindi mo kayang tiisin ang lungkot.

• Huwag pumunta sa ibang bansa kung mahina ka.

• Huwag pumunta sa ibang bansa kung hindi ka marunong lumapit.

• Huwag pumunta sa ibang bansa kung hindi ka sigurado kung bakit ka pupunta sa ibang bansa.

Ang buhay sa ibang bansa ay hindi para sa mahinang puso. Aalis ka sa iyong comfort zone - sa pamilyar at ligtas na lugar na nakasanayan mo. Dito, kakainin ka ng buhay ng iyong kalungkutan; iiyak ka bigla sa hindi malamang dahilan.

Mabibigo ka ng maraming beses. Hindi mo maiwasang ikumpara ang buhay mo noon sa Pilipinas sa buhay mo ngayon dito sa abroad.

Magsisimula ka ring sumuko sa iyong sarili. At magsisimula kang magtanong kung nagawa mo ba talaga ang tamang desisyon.

Mag-a-adjust ka-sa isang bagong buhay, isang bagong kapaligiran, isang bagong tao, at isang bagong trabaho. Kung nasa Pilipinas ka, boss ka at nasa taas ka na, dito ka magsisimula ulit sa baba.

Kung ilalapat mo ang pagmamataas, walang mangyayari sa iyong buhay. Hindi lahat ay pinalad na makahanap ng magandang trabaho na may malaking suweldo. Yung iba, nakapagtapos na at nakapagtrabaho sa magandang kumpanya sa Pinas pero pagdating dito kahit anong trabaho papasok - waiter, driver, receptionist, kitchen assistant, saleslady at iba pa.

Dito, hindi mahalaga kung ano ang iyong trabaho; ang mahalaga ay sinusuportahan mo ang iyong pamilya sa bawat padala mo.

DEAR YOUNG BOYS AND YOUNG GIRLS

1. If you are given an opportunity to go to school, don't waste it. It is a privilege denied to many.

2. Once you are given a chance to study and finish college, grab it. A couple of years in hardship earning a degree is way better than a lifetime of struggle finding a stable job.

3. Stop cutting classes just to spend your time in irrelevant "happy hours". You'll have plenty of those once your school kick you out.

4. Instead of chasing pretty girls/handsome boys in your school, pursue your studies and finish it. You don't need to chase them anymore once you landed in your career path, the right person will eventually finds his/her way in your life.

5. Skipping classes for night outs surely excites your adrenaline, the same adrenaline rush you'll experience once you fail to graduate.

6. Your parents do not send you to school because they care for your today's status, they send you to school because they don't want you to have a hard time sending your own kids to school in the near future.

7. Unless you are willing to spend additional couple of years in your university, do not spend your tuition fee and school allowance purchasing unnecessary things. Wasted money can easily be replaced (if your parents are rich) but wasted years of your life cannot be paid by any amount of penny.

8. Enjoy student's life (with limitations), you'll surely miss the free food, free dormitory, free laundry and free time once you need to pay it on your own. You're parents are right, earning for a living isn't easy. Don't make your studies a joke.
