Hello there!
Well it's been just about one year since Cedar Swamp closed down and went into storage. Lately, I've been writing and recording with Jay Parker at his home recording studio (as well as working with my Rock Band Project), and having a great great time as we create. He's using ProTools but I opted for GarageBand, after struggling with PT for too long. I found GB much more user friendly, and I'm sure it has its limitations, but I have yet to reach them; it does what I need, and then some!
So after digging out and plugging in some multi tracking hardware, I realized the audio driver needed to be reinstalled. CS's engineer and technician, John (Cakes) Gilbert, is on the task now. He's working his majik remotely on my computer at my house, from a computer at HIS house!!! That's just crazy! But now you know why he's the tech. : )
Once up and running, I'm hoping to lay and loop some new musical ideas as well as some that I've been jamming on for almost 20 years. A good writing tool!
I just heard the Cedar Swamp reboot, so I'm guessing all went well, and that I should be good to go shortly.
Just got off the tele' with him. It's all good! ...it appears. Maybe I'll try laying some tracks tonight once the maniacs are asleep! ; )
Thanks Cakes, you rock!
