There’s a lot of things that come easily to me - baking, writing, running (before kids, at least), being out in nature. I fit these things into my day with ease. Unfortunately, reading the Bible isn’t always part of that list.

It’s not that I don’t want to. I do.
And it’s not that I don’t have time to. Really, I do.
It just…doesn’t happen.
It’s on my habit tracker.
It’s been on my daily to-do list.
I’ve set certain times.
I’ve picked certain places in the house.
I’ve tracked along with certain reading plans.
It. Just. Won’t. Stick.

I’ve gotten frustrated about it. I’ve promised to change. I’ve made commitments. I’ve failed. And I’ve gotten frustrated…again.

But as my 5 year old says, “We know something they don’t know.” I know something now that I haven’t known in the past, something that tells me exactly why this is happening. Wanna know the secret?

It’s not our fault. There’s something, or rather someone, working against us here.

I’m not one to give the devil more credit than he deserves, but here’s the deal. The Bible says that the Word of God is our SWORD. Guess who we need a sword to fight against? That’s right, the devil. So why wouldn’t he use every single distraction and excuse he can find to convince me not to read the Bible? Of course he doesn’t want me to read the Bible! It’s the weapon I’m supposed to use…against HIM!

Now that’s not an excuse, of course. But it is insight. It’s insight I can pull from the next time I’m struggling to make reading my Bible a priority.

“Okay, self. I’m struggling again to read my Bible. And that’s okay. There’s a force working against me here. But every time I read the Word and learn more about God, my sword becomes bigger and stronger to push back against that force. So let’s read for just a few minutes. The Word of God never returns void.”

What the devil thinks is a tactic he can use against us is no longer an option. We know his secrets. We know what he’s up to. And we also know how to fight back.

So pick up your sword, mama. It’s time to fight.

It started when i was 21, to build big dreams and make it happen.

got my 1st job as flight attendant, 2 months before college graduation.
acquired a life insurance at 22 (ako pa yung naghahabol sa advisor nun😅).
have a portfolio in stocks & mutual funds.
purchased my 1st property at age 24 (condo property).
enjoying my sales position at a certain company (though, the sales career was unplanned);
having 6-digits savings fund;
purchased again a 2nd property at age 28 (192sqm lot property)☝️

This year I just turned 29 (time flies, just like that), it's almost a decade now! almost a decade of painstaking hard work, strict discipline, & thorough training from the so called "school of life"
(along with it were brokenness, disappointments & heartaches🥵🥶😭 Yep! setbacks of reality).

Why am i putting this in public? Am i to brag? or to say that I’m better than you? No way!!

Isa ako sa mga slightly "dama" ang sting ng kahirapan at an early age.
My college career was solely dependent on the scholarship program of the late Pres. Marcos;
I’m also one of those children who were left behind by their OFW parents (salute to my mom!)

Although I ate 3x a day, the desire to live above average (not living in mediocrity ~ ‘pwede na yan, bahala na’ approach);

the desire to make my mom go home for good, to get ahead of my present condition, and make money work for me (passive income)
drives me to pursue excellence; and not settle for anything less.

This also keeps me motivated, to be a faithful steward of the small resources that were entrusted to me (& make it grow) FOR GOD's GLORY.
Considered conclusion: IF A NOBODY LIKE ME CAN DO IT,
ANYONE CAN DO IT. YOU ALSO CAN.

But hear this important and salient truth:
WILL IT BE EASY? NO.
WORTH IT?ABSOLUTELY.💪🙌

Right now, your best ally is yourself 👊- feed it, discipline it, make the most out of everything & be the best version of it.

This journey will test your mental toughness,
saying no to instant gratification (SB coffee or instant coffee; Mango shake or water; Figaro or Jollibee; Gourmet resto or fastfood😋😁),

saying no to peer pressure(to travel or not to travel),

and most importantly, saying no to your spoiled brat self (along with it were , , , clothes 😭).
TIME – IT IS GOLDEN, don’t take it for granted & make it your ally.

Take note that everyone has the ability to produce wealth (the right godly way); you just got to find it.
MAKE YOURSELF THE BEST. & INSPIRE OTHERS.👊💪

ANTICIPATE, PLAN, PROCESS, STRATEGIZE your finances, then after the ecq, EXECUTE THE PLAN , Then soar high, :)

if you can, if you're still single like me at 29, try to save downpayment for house at 20s,
have at least 1 life insurance,
build emer fund,
plan,build, execute min of 7 passive income streams. this might be applicable/feasible if you're earning 20k min, no medication, no bad debt, you just live a frugal life, this can happen if you start right after graduation(22yrsold).
then at 29, if you're disciplined & creative enough, this might be feasible to you, like what i've experience-
this is going to be tough, and will not happen overnight.
