🚨DROWNING KILLS MALE ON VACATION🚨
Sadly, a 21-year-old man swimming at DeLeon Springs State Park lost his life today in an apparent drowning incident.
Deputies responded to the report of a drowning shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday. First responders attempted life-saving measures on the victim at the scene before transporting him to a hospital for further treatment. Despite additional efforts there, the victim couldn't be revived.
Detectives spoke with witnesses who explained the victim and his family were visiting Florida from Texas and decided to go to DeLeon Springs State Park. The victim reportedly did not know how to swim but left the shallow area. He disappeared in the water for several minutes before he was discovered missing and pulled out of the deep area.
There were no immediate signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances. The Sheriff's Office sends condolences to the family and friends of the young man who lost his life.

Medics removed a persons body from the home and he was pronounced deceased shortly after.

🚨CRASH WITH INJURIES INVOLVING PEDESTRIAN🚨
Last night, an adult woman attempted to cross at the intersection of Howland Boulevard & Lake Helen Osteen Road when she was struck by an SUV.
The victim was pronounced deceased on scene by Deltona Fire Rescue shortly after arriving to the crash.
Witnesses told deputies that the driver had a green light and never saw the victim trying to cross the intersection.
The driver showed no signs of impairment and was cooperative with the investigation.
The VSO Traffic Homicide Investigation Team responded and assumed the investigation.
The vehicle was towed to VSO Evidence, the VSO Chaplain was contacted, and the victim’s family was notified.

🚨HIGH SPEED CHASE ENDS WITH ARREST🚨
State troopers are investigating a chase on I-4 that ended with a crash in DeLand.
Troopers said they started following a Kia on Monday afternoon near International Speedway Boulevard.
According to a report, the driver later crashed near New York and Wade Ave, got out of the car, and took off running.
Troopers said the driver was later found at a nearby residence on Pecan Street and was placed under arrest.
The driver was facing an open arrest warrant out of Osceola County.
Patrick B Gordon 35 years old is the arrested suspect.

🚨CAR CRASH INVOLVING MOTORCYCLE🚨
Sad news to report in City of Deltona, Florida last night: Around 8:50 p.m., a motorcycle traveling on Haulover Boulevard struck a car that had just turned onto Haulover off Surf Drive.
A deputy who arrived on scene attempted life-saving measures on the motorcyclist until Deltona Fire Rescue arrived and took over.
Unfortunately, the motorcyclist (a 44-year-old Deltona man) was pronounced deceased on scene at 8:57 p.m. His next of kin was notified, and a full crash investigation is underway.

V1 (2001 LEXUS IS) WAS TRAVELING EASTBOUND ON REED ELLIS ROAD APPROACHING THE INTERSECTION OF STATE ROAD 415.
V1 DRIVER WAS TRAVELING ABOVE THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT AND LOST CONTROL. AS A RESULT, V1 RAN OFF THE ROADWAY AND COLLIDED WITH A TREE.
V1 DRIVER WAS TRANSPORTED TO HCA LAKE MONROE HOSPITAL AND LATER PRONOUNCED DECEASED.

Last night around 9:00pm, OPD officers responded to the 3000 block of CR Smith St in reference to a shooting.
OPD hasn’t released any information on this incident so details are still unclear.
Several officers and detectives could be seen talking to residents and gathering evidence.
OCSOs CHASE helicopter was requested in the search for the suspect, but it’s unclear if OPD has anyone in custody.
There is no suspect or victim information.

***FATALITY-VEHICLE VS PEDESTRIAN***
Tonight around 11:30pm, OCSO was dispatched to the intersection of Curry Ford Rd & Colton Dr in Orlando's Azalea Park neighborhood for a hit & run involving a pedestrian.
Upon arrival the unknown gendered victim was found unresponsive on the sidewalk. Deputies preformed CPR while awaiting medics from OCFR. Medics arrived a short time later and worked on the person for about 15min.
The victim was transported as a trauma code and pronounced deceased at hospital.
EB Curry Ford is shutdown from Camellia Gardens Dr to S Goldenrod.
Deputies appeared to be getting a statement from a witness on scene.

***1 KILLED 2 IN SERIOUS CONDITION AFTER FIERY TURNPIKE CRASH
Around 11:30pm last night, troopers say a 2024 Ford Mustang was traveling SB on the Turnpike exit ramp to SR-429 occupied by two males & one female all from Orlando.
The 34yo driver lost control, striking a sign post, continued through the median striking several trees and overturning multiple times. The driver and front right passenger were both ejected.
Post collision the vehicle became engulfed in flames. The driver and right rear passenger were both transported to ORMC in serious condition. The right front passenger was transported to Advent Health Winter Garden and pronounced deceased.
FHP continues to investigate.

***ARREST MADE AFTER MAN EXPOSES HIMSELF TO CHILD WALKING TO SCHOOL
On Friday, May 3, 2024 at approximately 8:30 a.m., a student was walking to school in the 200 block of North Eola Avenue when a suspect in a blue sedan approached her. The suspect was unclothed and exposing himself while in the vehicle. The student was able to walk away.
Detectives identified the suspect as 34-year-old Gilmer Mauricio Medina, who was taken into custody on Monday.
Medina is charged with lewd and lascivious behavior and exposing himself.
Law enforcement is working to determine if this is an isolated incident or if there are other victims.

🚨BREAKING IN ORLANDO-POSSIBLE OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING
UPDATE: Around 5:55pm officers attempted to stop a vehicle occupied by a man with an Orange County warrant for attempted murder and aggravated stalking. As officer exited their vehicles the subject produced a handgun and fired one round. Officers retuned fire, fatally wounding the suspect. No officer were injured. The officer involved has been put on leave pending and FDLE investigation, as is protocol in all officer involved shooting. There is no further information to release at this time.
(ORIGINAL POST) This evening around 5:55pm a signal 43 (RUSH! OFFICER NEEDS HELP) was put out over the radio for shots fired. About 20-25 officers are on scene at S Lucerne Circle & S Orange Ave in Downtown Orlando. A small white sedan could be seen in the middle of Orange Ave that appears to be involved as several patrol cars were blocking the vehicle in. One person was transported from the scene with a GSW by OFD Medic201. All officers are okay. Traffic is blocked on Orange Ave from just before Lucerne Circle to past the 408 overpass heading into downtown, Traffic is being diverted east and west at Anderson Street. Traffic northbound Orange Avenue is being diverted east and west at Gore St.
OPD Chief Smith will address the media at OPD HQ at 7:45pm.

🛑MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT CLAIMS A LIFE🛑
A traffic crash Sunday night in City of DeBary claimed the life of a 36-year-old Orange City man.
Deputies responded to the crash around 6:43 p.m. at the intersection of Charles R. Beall Boulevard and Barwick Road. The driver of a 2008 Mitsubishi passenger car was pronounced deceased on scene.
The initial crash investigation indicates that Mitsubishi was headed northbound in the inside lane at a high rate of speed when the driver attempted to change lanes, and impacted another vehicle. The Mitsubishi then redirected across the median and the southbound lanes of travel before striking a concrete utility pole head-on.
The deceased was identified as Juan C. Andino Jr. His next of kin was notified on scene.
The other driver was not injured. The crash shut down traffic on Charles R. Beall Boulevard until the early-morning hours Monday as deputies began a full crash investigation.

❌MAN KILLED IN ATV ACCIDENT❌
This afternoon around 3:30pm, troopers say a 48YO man was riding NB on Bryson Dr north of Harwick Ave on an ATV in Orange County.
A 2020 Kia Forte was parked and unoccupied in the yard of a private residence.
The man lost control and traveled off the roadway striking a mailbox and a fire hydrant. The ATV continued and the man struck the rear of the parked Kia Forte, resulting in him being thrown from the ATV.
The man was transported to ORMC and pronounced deceased.

***MAN CRITICAL AFTER BEING SHOT IN POSSIBLE DOMESTIC INCIDENT***
This afternoon around 4:45 p.m., deputies responded to the 2500 block of Kingsland Avenue regarding a shooting. When deputies arrived, they found a man in his 20s who had been shot. He was transported to the hospital for his injury. All parties involved remained on scene.
There was a secondary scene located about a block away at 4919 Keith place, which appeared to be the shooters home. Deputies could also be seen taping off that location as well.
Radio traffic led us to believe this is a domestic incident between brothers.
The victim was transported as a code but is still alive at the time of this posting.
OCSO has no further information to release at this time.

🚨MOTORCYCLIST KILLED IN ORANGE COUNTY CRASH
Around 1am this morning, troopers say a 2021 Nissan Rogue driven by a 57yo Orlando man was traveling NB on Goldenrod Rd in the center lane.
At the same time a 2006 Suzuki Motorcycle was traveling SB on Goldenrod approaching Mai Tai Dr. The Nissan attempted a left turn onto Mai Tai Dr into the direct path of the motorcycle. The motorcycle Swerved to avoid the collision and as a result lost control and fell from the bike.
The 19yo Orlando man was transported to ORMC as a trauma alert by OCFR and later pronounced deceased. The driver of the Nissan was un-injured and remained on scene.
The crash remains under investigation.

🚨BREAKING ORANGE COUNTY: 4 MEN SHOT 1 KILLED IN LOCKHART NEIGHBORHOOD
Deputies are investigating a shooting that killed one person and left three others in the hospital on Thursday night.
Around 8:30 p.m., the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to Gamma Drive and Forest City Road in Lockhart in reference to a shooting.
When deputies arrived, they found four men all suffering from gunshot wounds.
All four men, who are in their 20s, were transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Deputies said one of the men died from their injuries at the hospital.
Investigators said they have no suspect information at this time and believe this was a targeted incident.
Orange County has seen a shooting everyday, some days multiple since 4/5.

❌DEPUTIES INVESTIGATING AFTER MAN SHOT AND KILLED IN FRONT OF ORANGE COUNTY HOME❌
Last night around 9:45pm deputies responded to 9668 8th Ave in Orange County’s Taft neighborhood after a female caller stated “They Shot My Husband”.
Deputies arrived and located a man in his 30s suffering from multiple gun shot wounds, they immediately began life saving efforts while awaiting medics.
OCFR arrived a short time later and transported the man to ORMC as a trauma code at approximately 10:10pm, where he was pronounced deceased.
Around 30-40 shell casings that appeared to have come from an assault style rifle could be seen in the driveway and street in front of the home.
Deputies have not released any other information at this time.
This was the third shooting in Orange County on Wednesday and the 7th since Friday 4/5.
