2000AD prog 12 from Into the Realm was terrific. The Aberdeen sports museum had Spinball from Action! Dan Dare revealed that Britain is now a Green Belt Country. Cut free from Europe it circles the Earth every three years. The wonderful Heavy Metal Kids (Auf Wiedersehen, Pet) appeared and my favourite 2000AD character, Captain Monday, had a statue unveiled. All that, and the Mekon returning!!

Current reading is a virtually full run of Spike from DC Thomson. I find I prefer DCT more as an adult, than I did as a child. None of the excitement of Fleetway, in the same way that Bridge Over the River Kwai didn't have the same excitement as Jaws. But it ages well.

A couple of my favourite covers: 2000 AD Prog 17 with the great Flesh! cover and the SuperHeroes from DCUK: the secret origin of the Justice Society. Both bought from Into the Realm in St Austell.

Some nice comics picked up in Cornwall, UK. Love Plas and I've been wanting these Showcases for ages, having seen ads in the 70s but they never arrived in Scotland (that I saw).
