Ice walks 🩵
Before heading to the top of Kebnekaise, we practiced to walk on ice with crampons. Your walking should almost look like a cowboys, but with a little stomp on the way up! 😆

Being surrounded by these giants, is my happy place 🏔️
The Swedish mountains, svenska fjällen, differentiates a lot from other mountain ranges in the world. I don’t know how to put it except for the word “soft”. The peaks are very gracious from a distance, almost a bit reserved.
But once you move closer to them, their dramatic side comes forth in an unexpected way.

Happy team in the mountains 🩵
We’re now back home after a few stunning days in the very north of Sweden! The feeling of finally taking a shower after five days is beyond amazing, but I must say that the memories from this trip feels even better.
I learned a lot during this expedition, and even got the opportunity to face a few fears of mine. It’s been days of personal growth, but also realizing the importance of having a great team around you. Stronger together!
Huge thanks to .se and our guide for an unforgettable experience! Jonathan and I are sooo ready for the next adventures! 🏔️

The beautiful church of Húsavík ✨
This wooden church from 1907 is an absolute gem in Iceland. I love how it differentiates from other churches around the island, with its Swiss chalet style. Stunning!

Two beautiful pieces of ice at the Diamond beach 🩵
When I visited the diamond beach a couple of years ago in February, the beach was completely FULL of ice. However, they didn’t sparkle like the ones I saw in May this year. There was fewer pieces of ice for sure, but they all sparkled like crystal clear diamonds in the morning sun! 💎

Ice of gold ✨
Did you know that the icebergs in Jökulsarlón are composed of ice that’s over 1000 years old? Or that the maximum depth of the pool is 248 meters, which makes it the deepest lake in Iceland? 😵💫
I’m not surprised that these facts come from this extraordinary place though! The facts matches the beauty.

Morning by the ice ✨
Loved the moment of morning light by the glacier pool. It was all quiet and peaceful. Seals played around in the water, and ocean waves could be heard from a distance. The sun warmed both our faces and the floating blocks of ice. It was like a dream.
That was one of the best moments I’ve experienced in Iceland so far.

Bring a jacket, invite a friend or partner to come with you, and roam around in a car together. That’s one of my favorite things to do in the whole world. To explore.
In just three weeks, we will do just that. For almost a month! I just can’t wait for the next adventure to begin 🧡

Ghost trees 🤍
The leaves had not quite grown yet, when we were in Iceland in the beginning of May. Which gave the trees above Skógafoss this ghost-like appearance.
I don’t know, but they somehow remind me of the white tree of Gondor! 😝

Stormy days by Dyrhólaey
The other day I published a few photos from here, where the weather was all perfect and sunny. But, I can almost guarantee that there will be windy days at Dyrhólaey as well! When I took these photos, the wind blew so fast that it was difficult to even walk forward 😂
Thank goodness the camera didn’t fly away!

Random fact! Did you know that there’s around 80.000 Icelandic horses on Iceland? I would say that’s quite a lot of horses for an island with a human population of 370.000! 🐴

Really like this lighthouse, even on a extremely bright and sunny day ☀️
The surroundings with the high cliffs and spectacular viewpoints makes it even more beautiful.
Would definitely recommend visitors to Iceland to stop by Dyrhólaey!
