No worry! Here's a simple breakdown of the major groups:
1) Vegans
Avoid all animal and animal-derived products (including eggs, diary and honey)
2) Vegetarians
Do not consume meat products but some of them may include animal-derived food like eggs, dairy and honey in their diet:
- Lacto-ovo-vegetarians
Consume both eggs and dairy products
- Ovo-vegetarians
Consume egg but avoid dairy products
-Lacto vegetarians
Consume dairy products but avoid eggs
3) Flexitarians
Those whose diets are mainly vegetarian-based but do include some meat-based products
