In shadows' cloak, a tale unfolds,
Of love's cruel game, my heart it holds.
Whispers reached my ears, a bitter sting,
The girl I love, her heart won't sing.
Her laughter once a symphony divine,
Now echoes fade, a mournful sign.
I built my dreams upon her tender gaze,
But now they crumble, lost in love's maze.
The sun, it sets upon this shattered dream,
As darkness veils the hopes that gleam.
A dance of stars, now veiled by tears,
Love's sweet illusion, replaced by fears.
Yet in this anguish, a seed takes root,
A chance to grow, to find pursuit.
For in the depths of love's profound pain,
Resilience blooms, an inner flame.
I'll gather strength from fragments torn,
From petals wilted, love reborn.
For though her heart beats for another's touch,
I'll learn to love myself, this truth I clutch.
In time, my heart will mend and heal,
Embrace the wounds, no longer conceal.
For love's not lost, it's vast and free,
Not confined to her, but shared with me.
So let this pain be but a stepping stone,
To find a love that's mine alone.
And as I rise, with newfound grace,
I'll bid farewell to her sweet, distant face.
For love, it flows in endless streams,
It's not defined by unrequited dreams.
I'll find my solace, my heart will mend,
Knowing love's journey is not its end.
