In Brewster, Minnesota, pop. 453, Janette Kruse was shot and killed in her home early in the morning on August 19, 2015.
Law enforcement did not solve this crime. They locked in on Jan's husband without actually investigating or looking at other possible suspects. After an acquittal in 2020 they closed the case.
They gave up on finding justice for Jan.
