Noaks ark har lättat ankar och kvar på stranden står en samling egensinniga djur. För att klara sig undan den stora floden behövs mod, uppfinningsrikedom och en stor dos samarbetsvilja. Nu gäller det att bygga en egen båt, att lära sig styra och inte minst att skaffa mat. Detta utan att decimera besättningen, för det är FÖRBJUDET att äta varandra.

TURBULENS is music for the hard core modern jazz enthusiast. A crossover project where 10 art music composers wrote music for 10 music reading improvisation musicians. 🌪🎶

The creators envisaged an encounter between art music and improvised music where the result would be more than a genre fusion – the intention was to derive the benefits of the unique skills of each group, the composers and the improvisers, to create new music through hybridisation. And it worked!

Composer Anders Hultqvist found that some of the Swedish singer-songwriter Olle Adolphson’s songs and poems, in a natural way, could be inserted into the traditional mass for the dead.

In this requiem – TIME PASSES IN THE TREES – Hultqvist has consequently joined Adolphson’s songs with old Gregorian melodies and self-penned material. The lyrics deal with the passing of time, mortality and remembrance, often with nature as a backdrop.

The piece is performed by the Rilke Ensemble from Göteborg with the chamber orchestra Musica Vitae from Växjö.

WALLPAPER STORIES is the debut album from the duo Josef & Erika, filled with pristine melodies, influenced by jazz and pop.

This album gives us virtuoso, sensitive and unique interpretations as well as the duo’s own songs and conversational improvisations, occasionally seasoned with vocal harmony or steel guitar, trumpet and bass clarinet.

The witty Swedish poet and musician Carl Michael Bellman never ceases to fascinate.

The album MOVITZ is a wonderful tribute to Bellman’s most colourful character: Movitz.

His fortunes and misfortunes are presented by the expressive voice of Mikael Samuelson, accompanied by Bengan Jansson on accordion and Björn Ståbi on violin.

Six pieces are presented; from intimate solo cantatas to the grand Benedicam Dominum for double choir. All music is taken from the Düben Collection in Uppsala.

On the album SOL SALUTIS you will find warmth, spirit, curiosity and inventiveness.

Six of the ten tracks are Christian Jormin’s own compositions, the rest are improvisations on choral melodies. The trio, which came together in the 1990’s, features – apart from Christian Jormin – the bassist Mattias Grönroos and Magnus Boqvist on drums.

AMANDA is an extraordinary choir and consists of classical musicians and music teachers as well as pop singers, world musicians, theater professionals and other musical personalities.

Ever since the roads of the ensemble Amanda and Sten Källman crossed in the late 80’s, Amanda has had Haitian music from the Voodoo tradition on their repertoire, in arrangements by world musician Sten Källman.

The Swedish jazz pianist and composer, Stefan Forssén, became inspired by the music of J. S. Bach and wrote a suite for his group, Änglaspel (Angel Chimes).

At some passages, the music follows Bach’s original score closely while at other the original is scarcely recognisable.

At all times, the music is played with confidence, strength and loving care.
