A CRY BORN OF FAITH!

We all cry sometimes but as the tears roll down your cheeks, have you ever stopped to ask yourself what gave birth to your crying? Is your cry born of self-pity or victimhood because you are looking for attention and lamenting over your present situation? Or is your cry born of faith because you want to receive from Jesus Christ?

In Matthew 15:22-28, the Canaanite woman cried out to Jesus for her daughter’s deliverance. In verse 26 Jesus replied “It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs.”

This response was capable of discouraging any other woman in her position from pressing on with her request. She was not only ignored; she was also equated with a dog. But because she truly believed that Jesus was capable of meeting her needs, she knew that this seeming harsh treatment would soon pass away. She simply pressed on, saying, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” Jesus saw this as a cry born of faith.

What are you crying about? The Lord may be taking His time to consider your request in order to test your faith just like the Canaanite woman. If your cry is born of faith because you want to receive of Jesus then you would respond with humility, modesty and perseverance. So be calm and determined and make sure your cry is a cry born of faith.

FEET OF CLAY
The spies that were sent to the promised land of Canaan came back to tell of the great giants that were there and fear filled all who heard them (Numbers 13:31-33).

What is your giant today that seems to stand in the way of God’s promises for your life? Is it sickness, joblessness, hatred, rejection, depression? When God commissioned Joshua to possess the promised land, He said, “Be strong and courageous” (Joshua 1:5-9). God knew that the biggest enemy Joshua would face would not be the giant in the land but the little voice inside saying, "Whom do you think you are?" "You are not able!"

In the same vein, our biggest enemy is not the challenges we are facing but the little voice inside driving us, saying, "You can do this, you can do that and get away with it. You can kill, destroy and steal and get away with it - you are different." But we are not. We all have feet of clay to some extent.

Why are you thinking you are ‘out of touch’ when the Bible says that in this world there will be trouble? You can never live and be ‘out of touch’ until the end of your days. Whatever giant you are facing, don’t listen to the voice of your situation - the voice of doubt, the voice of temptation telling you to react badly. Whatever may be your ‘feet of clay’, let it draw you closer to God.

Whatever you give in charity is not lost. Just as the precious seed cast in the soil is not lost
A seed is anything that can grow and multiply, that can become more and benefit others. A simple smile is a seed. Love is a seed. Money is a seed. A word of encouragement is a seed. These are the things that constitute your strength - moral strength, emotional strength, financial strength and spiritual strength.
In 1 Kings 17:11-16, Elijah directed the poor widow to bake him a cake first. Little did she know that she was planting a seed that would multiply back to her in a millionfold. Imagine the poor widow’s situation at a time of a natural disaster of drought and famine. You will appreciate how great a sacrifice it was for her to share her only and last means of sustenance with a stranger, without a definite promise. But she obeyed. The supply for more came and her life of want came to an end.

Partners, you might be experiencing hard times because of this pandemic. Have your abundant resources dwindled to a widow’s mite? Don’t be afraid! Fix your eyes not on what is seen but on what is unseen.

The seed we sow today can create the future God Almighty has promised us. What you already possess has the potential to produce an incredible harvest as long as you recognise God as your Source. When we recognise God as our Source, our seed will move our faith and our faith will move God for the harvest.
Keep sowing in His time, in His way, for the best is yet to come.

HIS NAME IS NOT A SPELL
“In Jesus’ name” can be heard coming out of the mouths of many in Church today but how many actually believe in His name in their heart? If we speak with our mouth what we do not believe in our heart, we are using the name of Jesus as a spell or charm. If we think we can resist satan by using Christ’s name as a spell or charm, he will prevail against us. This is what happened to the seven sons of Sceva (Acts 19:13-16).

The seven sons of Sceva were confessing what they did not believe. Because Paul said, they too said. There is a difference between in His name and on His name. When I say on His name – I mean, the imitation of man – looking to others for direction. Because you see me pray in the name of the Lord, you begin to pray, not that you believe.

The belief in your heart is released by faith out of your mouth. It is God’s Word coming out of your mouth that produces an overcoming spirit in you. God’s Word must be the foundation of faith confession. If your heart and mind are filled with God’s Word, you will speak that Word. He is the Word on our lips: In the name of Jesus Christ! The Spirit of God is the Word on our lips (1 Corinthians 12:3). It is definitely God’s desire to bless you - but you must believe His Word, speak His Word and obey His Word before you can receive His blessings.

One of the greatest hindrances to carrying out God’s work is the tradition inherited by Christians about giving whereby we have been taught to give and to expect nothing in return.
When we look at this closely, we will see that it appears to be exactly the opposite
of God’s law of sowing and reaping. In the beginning, God laid down a law that shall never be changed.
While the earth remains, God's law of seedtime and harvest shall not end.
Ask Noah in Genesis 8:22 and he will tell you that God’s law of seedtime and harvest is
an enduring truth within a spiritual principle.
There is a God-given command on the inside of each person to become more and to multiply.
To know a happy, prosperous and successful life, we must learn how to plant.
When we give to others - the needy - and to the Kingdom of God, we are planting seeds.
As it says in 1 Cor. 3:6-8, it is the duty of the farmer to till, dig the soil and plant the seed
while it is God’s duty to make the seed grow and yield.
Faith is expecting God to do what He promised. As believers, when we give, we are planting seeds
which will be multiplied back to us. Suppose a farmer said, "I sow seeds in my field each spring just because I have joy in planting seeds
but I do not expect a harvest." How then will he continue farming?
Of course, the good farmer expects a harvest. Good seeds always produce returns
in incredible multiples! It is God’s will for you to reap more than you sow.
The point is that you must keep your eyes on God, not on the means He might use.
For He and Him alone is the Source of your expectations. It is certainly more productive to give than to receive, for it is what one gives that is multiplied back to him
not only what he receives. You cannot just give your money because
you get a blessing out of giving. Your giving must be productive.

Some nurses and hospital staff at the isolation centre also described their happiness at seeing the patients recover rapidly after responding to the prayers by shaking and vomiting. One patient was discharged the following day while another one no longer needed her oxygen mask, a nurse recalled. “That is evidence of the prayer through the power of the Holy Spirit,” she added. When we are in the presence of God, healing is just like breathing. With the hope that their problems would become a thing of the past, Alexis and family all the way from Chile, Rethabile and Tshimangazdo with her daughter from South Africa, Jacqualine and family from Botswana all connected with faith to the interactive prayer session, all COVID-19 patients suffering from similar symptoms ranging from severe headaches, difficulty in breathing, severe cough, fever, muscular pain and loss of taste.
Prophet Chris began by assuring them that nothing is impossible for our Lord Jesus regardless of the distance. ‘’It is not all up to God, and certainly it is not all up to us, it takes both God’s ability and our own genuine willingness to bring about healing and freedom’’ he said. He began by praying for their forgiveness and asking that they be released from the bo***ge of COVID-19. A few minutes into the prayer, they started experiencing the healing and deliverance power of God. Immediately, Alexis began vomiting the poisonous substances in his system and the other families were set free. After the prayer, they all started doing what they could not do before such as eating and tasting the delicious fruit. Amazed at how deeply he could now breathe, Alexis thanked Jesus Christ for his perfect healing.

Herma and her husband had connected from Chile to seek God’s healing hands in their lives. Herma suffered from scoliosis which had caused her severe back and hip pain for the past 4 years. She also experienced foot and arm pain. Aside from that, her husband suffered from general body pain and diabetes.

In desperate need of God’s mercy, Wan Tim and husband connected from China due to chronic constipation which she developed when she was pregnant. If she ate anything including vegetables and fruits, she was unable to go to the toilet for days, sometimes lasting up to a week. Sitting became a punishment for her. Even medications did not make any major impact in her life.

All the way from Mexico, Reymundo joined so he could be released from the satanic hold of drunkenness and addiction to alcohol in his life. He had lost everything as a result of this. His health was not left unaffected as he suffered knee, spine, stomach and general body aches.

Irene also joined from Italy as a result of lumbar spondylosis. This problem had not just affected her back but her work life as well. Even the lumbar corset did not reduce the pain. In fact, the pain felt worse whenever she took off her corset prior to when she had not started using the corset. She had to sit on a certain type of chair if not, she would feel her bone poking her which made sitting unbearable.

Augusto, a university professor from Angola also reached out in faith on account of speech problems. This stigma had brought him embarrassment and sadness as he stuttered whenever speaking in public.

Owing to an injured anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus, Kgopotso also reached out from South Africa. Her doctor even told her that she would not be able to walk and so surgery would have to be done. She was completely dependent on her crutches and knee brace and was unable to carry out daily activities. She needed medication not just for pain but even to sleep.

MESSAGE TO PARTNERS

In his address to partners all over the world, Prophet Racine began thus: “We are living in a troubled world because we have failed to apply the fundamental solution – love!” He described the adverse effects of the indifference and refusal to help those in need in our society. As Christians, our complete love for God and love for man form the core of what God requires of us, he added. He encouraged all to listen to their heart as this brings about a complete change in our approach to giving in a world that cares less.

Citing the Book of Matthew 6:33, Prophet Racine stressed on the need to have the thought of God uppermost in our heart: “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and everything else shall be given to you.” He then advised us to love our neighbours as ourselves noting that God has no hands but our hands to help others. According to him, when we care for the less privileged, we are caring for God. “God uses our faculties to express His compassion to mankind. Let His compassion check your passion.”

Prophet Racine further explained that giving should not be centered around money alone. Our kindness, goodness, strength and all other good things of life given to us by our Heavenly Father should play a vital role in giving. The present economic situation should not stop or limit our giving because it is praiseworthy to give not according to our power but also beyond our power.
Concluding his message, he reminded everyone that God is our Rewarder and that giving should be done in truth, humility and faith. As faith honours Jesus the most, Jesus honours faith the most.

From the four corners of the globe, people still continued to connect to The Distance Is Not A Barrier Interactive Prayer Session. All the way from Hong Kong, Pastor Lam and his wife connected believing that God would set them free from every affliction in their life. Pastor Lam experienced pain in his heart, lungs and brain while his wife suffered from a dormant cancer which had made it impossible for her to go to toilet without medication.

From the African continent, Gertrude connected from Zambia on the account of a fracture which had caused her severe pain on her ankle. Despite using an ankle support, she still could not stand for long. In addition, she had been diagnosed with gallstones.

W***y joined from the USA due to one of his discs in his spine being protruded. This caused him back pain, cramps and numbness in his left arm. No amount of medication could do anything for him. His work life had become non-existent because of his persistent ailment yet he had faith that God would rescue him from a life of pain.

Also connecting from the USA was Hidat who suffered from asthma for more than 20 years. She had been placed on large quantities of medication, a nebuliser and two different kinds of inhaler. Her shortness of breath, sharp pain in the chest and wheezing still persisted despite all this. As if that were not enough, she was bitten by a snake on her leg which caused her swelling and stiffened muscles.

Betty from Kenya also joined in by faith because of osteoarthritis of both hips and knees. She was unable to do anything without her crutch. Fed up with this way of life, she had sought healing from Jesus Christ.

Having suffered from Guillain-Barré syndrome and not finding any solution from three hospitals, Kandeh connected all the way from China with faith that his situation would become a thing of the past. He suffered tightness of the pelvic region which also gave rise to difficulty in walking.

An array of believers from around the globe waited in anticipation for the Holy Spirit to touch their diverse cases. Prophetess Yinka was the vessel to be used as a breaker - to break every chain of sickness satan might have used to connect the afflicted to himself.

As they connected to Emmanuel TV, they each stated the condition they were in:

Shortness of breath due to bronchitis caused Hope from South Africa hospitalisation, after collapsing. The medics battled for 30 minutes, in which Hope stopped breathing, before they were able to finally stabilise his breath on a ventilator. His hypertension added to the struggle for his life. His pregnant wife also joined him for prayer.

The caregiver, Sylvie, from France spoke next. An accident at work revealed severe arthritis of her left knee. Sylvie became reliant on crutches to get around due to the swollen and weakened knees.

Medications taken, due to an ovarian cyst, caused Harsha from Mauritius – hypertension, shortness of breath and dizziness. All this disrupted her sleep and negatively affected her daily activities.

Accompanied by his wife, Manuel from Mexico shared his problem that started at just 14 years old. Disc herniation and a lumbar problem had strained his nervous system to such an extent it further affected nearly all his faculties. Movement was difficult for Manuel. Doctors had prescribed a lumbar corset and later a wrist brace when fractures and a protruding bone occurred.

Pastor Jose & his wife Lenilda from Brazil, complained of a spiritual attack of 12 years that had affected both the ministry and their marital life. Pedro, a Cuban living in Austria suffered from chronic diarrhoea, gastritis, a spine problem, a right arm problem - to name a few - had run out of rope and decided to grab onto faith in God for solution. BE CONSCIOUS OF YOUR WEAKNESS

Today, many of us no longer see ourselves as God sees us because we are no longer conscious of our sin – I mean, our weaknesses. That is why, instead of acknowledging our weaknesses before Him, we dare His purity and holiness when we come to His presence only to ask for His blessings.

"When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, ‘Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!’ For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken... And Jesus said to Simon, ‘Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.’" - Luke 5:8-10 NKJV

Here we see, before Jesus, Peter was conscious of his weakness and believed that Jesus knew him as a sinner. That was why he felt undeserving of His presence. In response to Peter’s attitude toward his sin, Jesus did not look at his past but rather gave birth to his future as a fisher of men.

In whichever way you come to His presence, you must believe that God knows who you were, who you are and who you shall be. Right now, begin to acknowledge your position as a sinner in need of forgiveness and say to God, “Dirty as I am Lord, You can still cleanse me”, because no one is too good or too bad to qualify for salvation.

More international viewers from Sweden, Zambia, the USA and Ghana continued to connect with the Emmanuel TV Distance Is Not A Barrier Interactive Prayer Sessions believing the healing power of Jesus Christ would set them free from their various problems.

Mervis from Zambia had a strange addiction to eating sand and charcoal. Charity from Ghana had water in her lungs and heart enlargement. The doctors instructed her to perform an exercise to help strengthen her lungs which involved her blowing into a plastic glove, but still, her torment continued. Her children with her were also afflicted with different problems of asthma and sickle cell and evil attacks.

After two failed operations to correct the four dislocated disc in his spine, Zafar, a Pakistani living in Sweden, was left with a lumbar corset wrapped tightly around his waist and a pile of pain killers. A Mexican native living in the USA by the name of Meliton continued to battle with severe pain in his waist and knees after two failed operations to correct his foot problem. Stephanie from Peru had the problem of chronic gastritis caused by the bacterial infection helicobacter pylori. Michael who had a kidney problem and Jedalyn who suffered from scoliosis connected from the Philippines. Josefina, a Dominican living in the USA had lower back pain caused by osteoarthritis.

Although their problems seemed large, none of them had a problem bigger than Jesus. Prophetess Anne stretched forth her hands in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and commanded them to be released from every demonic attack. The power of God was evident as many of them began to physically react as divine intervention was taking place. Some even vomiting poisonous substances and evil spirits manifesting as they were exposed. As they were all declared free in the name of Jesus, they rejoiced in their new found freedom and began doing many things that they could not do before. To God be the glory!

FAITH ACTS NOW!

Faith is our movement towards God. Faith enables us to see the unseen and thus endure when the visible world offers us no hope or encouragement. It was faith that enabled blind Bartimaeus to cry out to Jesus against the opposition of the crowd and receive his sight. It was faith that enabled four men to reach Jesus through the crowd, by lowering the paralytic man through the roof. Then he picked up his mat and walked. It was faith that enabled the woman with the issue of blood to press through the crowd, touch the hem of Jesus' garment and receive instant healing. As seen in the above examples, we demonstrate what we believe by what we do. Faith acts now, believes now and receives now!

In God’s Word there is hope, forgiveness, direction, instruction, revelation and everything we need to live for God here and now. Because of Christ, all these have been made available to you and I. So, instead of simply being an onlooker, be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints by actively reaching out and taking God at His Word. Reach out and take the healing that is available to you, reach out and take the deliverance that is available for you, reach out and take the blessing that is available for you - by reaching out and acting faith now!

TAKE HEART

Are you worried about something? Is there a burden upon your spirit? As long as you are in this world there will be things poking you; there will be things disappointing you.

When we are troubled, we cannot be sensitive to the Spirit of God. You need a free spirit to pray. You need a free spirit to hear from God. You cannot hear from God when your spirit is troubled. If you pray at such times, you are talking to yourself. Therefore, ask God for a free spirit. Meditation reveals the burden in our spirit. Ask the Lord Jesus, “Take more of me; give me more of You”. When you are meditating this, you will find joy. It comes naturally; it comes spontaneously. Meditation in God’s Word is a visit with Him.

John 16:33 - “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

“In this world, there will be trouble. Cheer up! I have overcome.” This is why Jesus prayed, “I pray your faith will not fail”. This means there will be trouble that will tempt your faith but as a believer, God is aware of what you are going through.
