Often time when in conversations we tend to partially listen or in written format scan which results in us drawing conclusions without thoroughly understanding the context. We are just thinking and waiting to respond rather than actively listening/comprehending and following up with questions.

Yesterday was a full day of ! Forty-five second commercials started with good morning, good afternoon and good evening with three events: Blueback BNI, CT River Open Networking and HBRA’s New Member Reception.
The interesting thing about content creators is we are constantly capturing pictures and videos to tell a story but rarely have an opportunity to tell their own so here it is. out in the field taking pictures/videos for our client .
Social media marketing is all about telling a story and ultimately getting a response. When done right, a lot goes into it. Having a great website and social media presence are key to generating leads. When done right they can be a great 1-2 knockout combo. I often work with clients on their social media marketing to drive traffic to their website but often find their sites don’t contain the product/service we are promoting. Social media and websites are often the first things people visit to vet potential brands they want to hire. They bring credibility so having up-to-date and relevant content is extremely important. It's interesting, we often find people saying I say your post about X and the first thought is how come you didn’t like it. It’s kind of like using a car blinker, real easy to do but many don't. Before starting our company, our team really never had to network. Once we made the decision to launch, we knew instantly we had to get out there and meet a lot of people. We joined BNI, chambers, industry organizations, attended events, did a lot of 1-1's, etc. Here's what we learned:
* Being a member of a networking organization is a great start but there is a big difference between "being a member" and being an active member.
* To see results you have to show up week-after week. It's a slow process but you have to build relationships which result in trust which ultimately turn into referrals.
* The other important part is education, you have to be able to demonstrate what you can do for others and that you can produce results.
But above all you have to be willing to give 💌 . And that's why we've started Chris' Connections, named after our founder. Each week we'll post about someone in our networking groups who is looking to connect with others in hopes our network will engage. If you would like us to connect you to someone, please send a DM with your ask.
