NEW GERMAN CALENDAR RUNS ON MONEY
Durt Fibo in Der Koolschrank
October 26, 2024

With cultural memories of massive devaluations and modern awareness of retail banking security, along with global financial collapses, Germans are the one of the most cash-attached people in Europe. To accommodate this, the country has a minimum estimated 51,000 ATMs –or Geldautomaten in the native language- distributed so that most citizens reside no further than one kilometer away from a cash machine. Germany’s adjacent money-lovers in the Netherlands, on the other hand, possess, a meager 5.000 machines or so in total. France, likewise has been removing its ATMs at an increasing rate since 2021. However, both countries are convenient getaway destinations, connected by autobahns with no legal speed limits. The result of these combined factors is that Germany now experiences at least one ATM robbery per day (slightly down from last year) according to the reckoning of the Bundeskriminalamt (Federal Criminal Police Office) itself. The machines are easily blown away from their moorings with basic explosives, strong enough to crack the casings, but also powerful enough to damage buildings they’re set into and waking the local residents, who then realize it’s the day following the previous one.

Almost Time For Your Sunday Sermon!
-from Die Dreigroschenoper (The Threepenny Opera) by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weil.
The song is best translated into English as follows:

Now those among you full of pious teaching
Who teach us to renounce the major sins
Should know before you do your heavy preaching
Our middle's empty, there it all begins
Your vices and our virtues are so dear to you
So learn the simple truth from this our song
Wherever you aspire, whatever you may do
First feed the face, and then talk right and wrong
For even honest folk may act like sinners
Unless they've had their customary dinners

In 1912, Edgar Rice Burroughs published Tarzan of the Apes. This success was only achieved after 11 years of selling pencil sharpeners. No kidding.

POSTCARD

We always followed the customs
gladly
died at the whim of smirking tycoons
Senators with heads of iron
Priests made of lard
who all called this eternity
Our friends were the best
vigilantes informers liars brute dreams
Our guides were police
who built complete cities
of dark sour alleys
Life was good
they told us
Those who were arrested were never seen again
Those who were shot were never arrested again
We were firewood
Singing wounds
Bringing color and joy to the land

THE ORIGINAL JUNE 7, 1913 STRIKE PAGEANT

June 17, 2022
JUNE 7, 1913: Pictured: Adolph Lessig, Bill Haywood and Carlo Tresca leading the Paterson Strike Pageant parade to Madison Square Garden, where hHundreds of strikers portrayed themselves in a mass play produced by John Reed. On June 7, 1913, the Industrial Workers of the World presented the Paterson Strike Pageant at Madison Square Garden; on an enormous stage, more than 200 feet long and capable of holding more than 1,000 performers, workers from silk factories at Paterson, New Jersey, recreated the central events of their strike, which was led by the IWW. The strike had begun in February. By June, two workers had been killed by random gunfire from police and private detectives hired by the mill owners. Nearly 1,500 strikers and sympathizers had been arrested. Among those arrested was the young journalist John Reed, who wrote the ‘play’ performed by the strikers that day. Here we reprint the original program of the show:
PROGRAM OF THE PATERSON STRIKE PAGEANT
Scene: Paterson, N. J. Time: A.D. 1913.
The Pageant represents a battle between the working class and the capitalist class conducted by the Industrial Workers of the World (I.W.W.), making use of the General Strike as the chief weapon. It is a conflict between two social forces—the force of labor and the force of capital.
While the workers are clubbed and shot by detectives and policemen, the mills remain dead.
While the workers are sent to jail by hundreds, the mills remain dead. While organizers are persecuted, the strike continues, and still the mills are dead. While the pulpit thunders denunciation and the press screams lies, the mills remain dead. No violence can make the mills alive—no legal process can resurrect them from the dead. Bayonets and clubs, injunctions and court orders are equally futile.
Only the return of the workers to the mills can give the dead things life. The mills remain dead throughout the enactment of the following episodes.
EPISODE ONE
1. The Mills Alive—The Workers Dead
2. The Workers Begin to Think
Six o’clock on a February morning. The mill windows all aglow. The mill whistle sounds the signal to begin work. Men and women, old and young, come to work in the bitter cold of the dawn. The sound of looms. The beginning of the great silk strike. The striking workers sing the Marseillaise, the entire audience being invited to join in the song of revolt.
EPISODE TWO
The Mills Dead—The Workers Alive
Mass picketing. Every worker alert. The police interfere with peaceful picketing and treat the strikers with great brutality. The workers are provoked to anger. Fights between police and strikers ensue. Many strikers are clubbed and arrested. Shots are fired by detectives hired by the manufacturers, and Valentino Modestino, who was not a striker or a silk mill worker, is hit by a bullet and killed as he stands on the porch of his house with one of his children in his arms.
EPISODE THREE
The Funeral of Modestino
The coffin containing the body of Modestino is followed by the strikers in funeral procession to the strains of the Dead March. The strikers passing drop red carnations and ribbons upon the coffin until it is buried beneath the crimson symbol of the workers' blood.
EPISODE FOUR
Mass Meeting at Haledon
Great mass meeting of 20,000 strikers. I.W.W. organizers speak. Songs by the strike composers are sung by the strikers. They also sing the International, the Marseillaise and the Red Flag, in which the audience is invited to join.
EPISODE FIVE
1. May Day
2. Sending Away the Children
The May Day Parade. The workers of Paterson, with bands playing, flags flying, and women and children dressed in red, celebrate the international revolutionary labor day.
The strikers give their children to the “strike mothers” from other cities. The strike mothers receive them to be cared for during the war in the silk industry. Elizabeth Gurley Flynn speaks to the strikers and the children, dwelling upon the solidarity of labor shown in this vividly human episode, and is followed by William D. Haywood.
EPISODE SIX
Strike Meeting in Turner Hall
The strikers, men and women, legislate for themselves. They pass a law for the eight-hour day. No court can declare the law thus made unconstitutional. Elizabeth Gurley Flynn, Carlo Tresca and William D. Haywood make typical strike speeches.

INTERUTERINE FEVERS OF THE FACIST MIND
Durt Fibo in Der Koolschrank
October 2, 2024
This week saw another fine example of the incoherent magma chambers that form in fascist minds before an eruption of power devastates a nation. Today’s instance occurred in the USA, where the small Idaho town of Kendrick hosted a pre-election forum for six House and Senate candidates for District 6, including Republican Senator Dan Foreman; his Democratic opponent, Julia Parker: Republican Representative Lori McCann; and her Democratic opponent, Carter-Goodheart, who happens to be a member of the Nez Perce Tribe.
The event was jointly sponsored by Democratic and Republican precinct committee members from Kendrick.
Foreman –an ex-policeman and throbbing Catholic- has a long public history of tantrums and sputtering imprecations. On this occasion, after Parker critiqued Foreman’s record as a senator, he told her she’d “better not” do it again. When Parker asked if he meant to threaten her, he replied: “You heard me.”
Shortly thereafter, a member of the public asked the candidates’ opinion on a state bill addressing discrimination. When allowed her two minutes to speak, Carter-Goodheart said she believes racism and discrimination are genuine problems in the state and mentioned the history of powerful white supremacist groups based in Idaho.
At that point, Foreman stood up and yelled: “I’m so sick and tired of this liberal bu****it! Why don’t you go back to where you came from?” then stormed out of the electoral enclave. The town’s mayor has corroborated all the foregoing to the Idaho Statesman newspaper.
After his aborted attempt at civic interaction, Foreman ignited his page (of all places!) to claim he had been “race-baited” by Carter-Goodheart, then for no reason explode into libidinous yammering, to witless: “Does the democrat party challenge the Word of God? Yes, every person in our state and nation has equal rights under the constitution. That is a good thing. But there are no designer or special rights associated with one’s sexual behavior — sorry democrats and other lefties.”
Idaho, a name invented by Pike’s Peak, Colorado mining lobbyist, George M. Willing in 1860, is the birthplace of the neo-nazi A***n Nations. The Nez Pierce have lived in the region for well over a millennium. Foreman was born in Illinois.

FULL OCTOBER 2, 2024 SPECIAL PROSECUTOR’S FILING
Durt Fibo in Der Koolschrank
October 3, 2024
The Washington case for trying Donald Trump for crimes committed in his efforts to hijack the presidency after his 2020 election defeat is alive and reinvigorated in Special Counsel Jack Smith’s new filing. After the Supreme Ayatollah’s created new immunities for the office of the President, U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan allowed Smith to update his prosecution within the parameters of their ruling. As of yesterday, Chutkan has made it public. The complete 165-page ruling can be accessed through the link below.
The paramount argument is that Trump's stratagems to usurp power were “a private criminal effort," not official conduct as newly protected by the Supreme Court. Smith’s filing states that “When the defendant lost the 2020 presidential election, he resorted to crimes to try to stay in office," and that Trump tried to overturn the election as a candidate, not as president.
Smith further laid out how the Presidency is delimited regardless of the caprices of the Ayatollahs, writing: "Under the Constitution, the Executive Branch has no constitutionally assigned role in the state-electoral process. To the contrary, the constitutional framework excludes the President from that process to protect against electoral abuses."
The filing is structured as four key sections. The first presents his evidence against Trump, the second examines presidential immunity, the third "establishes that nothing the Government intends to present to the jury is protected by presidential immunity," and the fourth defines what the government is asking of the court, which is to rule that Trump must stand trial.
The full filing can be read here:
