Our own little perfect caos. When my wife was 36 weeks pregnant, we moved to another city and it seemed crazy, almost impossible, but we did it! Looking back, it was the perfect timing.
Neza captured those special moments of unpacking, baking and enjoying the last weeks of our baby girl in mama's belly. We are so grateful to be able to experience the miracle of life 🙏

🇩🇪🤝🇹🇷 Did you know what beautiful beaches there are in Turkey? The small natural beach Kaputaş Plajı in south-west Turkey overwhelmed us and is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful in the country. The water is incredibly blue and clear thanks to the pebble beach.
During our trip, we also learnt more about the Turkish language. Interestingly, there are some German words that have been incorporated into Turkish as loan words or foreign words. Here are a few examples, I will introduce you to more words in my next post:
aysberg – Eisberg - iceberg
dübel – Dübel - dowel
faşing – Fasching - carneval
feldmareşal – Feldmarschall (über Umweg französisch) - field marshal
filinta – Flinte - shotgun
fuspet – Fußbett, Einlegesohle - insole

[German] 🇩🇪🤝🇹🇷Wusstest du was für wunderschöne Strände es in der Türkei gibt? Der kleine Naturstrand Kaputaş Plajı im Südwesten der Türkei hat uns überwältigt und ist für viele eine der schönsten des Landes. Das Wasser ist dank des Kieselstrandes unglaublich blau und klar.
Während unserer Reise haben wir auch mehr über die türkische Sprache gelernt. Es gibt interessanterweise einige deutsche Wörter die als Lehn- oder Fremdwörter ins Türkische aufgenommen wurden. Hier ein paar Beispiele, weitere Wörter werde ich euch in meinem nächsten Post vorstellen.

And at the latest since Albanian guest workers settled in German-speaking countries, they enriched the Albanian language in the Albanian regions with many German loan words. The adaptation of the words to the written language and the Albanian accent.

Und spätestens seit albanische Gastarbeiter im deutschsprachigen Raum ansässig wurden, bereicherten sie die albanische Sprache in den albanischen Gebieten mit vielen deutschen Lehnwörtern. Auffällig ist die Anpassung der Wörter an die Schriftsprache und die albanische Betonung.

🇭🇷 My wife has always wanted to go to Croatia. I was on holiday here with my family as a child and wanted to see it again.
Last August, we took a tour of Croatia in our rental car. In P**a we drove north along the Adriatic coast. First to Rovinij and then to Poreč. Then we drove across Istria to Opatija, Rijeka and then to the island of Krk.

[German] 🇭🇷 Meine Frau wollte schon immer mal nach Kroatien reisen. Ich war mit meiner Familie als Kind hier im Urlaub und wollte es gerne wiedersehen.
Im vergangenen August machten wir eine Tour mit unserem Mietwagen durch Kroatien. In P**a fuhren wir entlang der Adriaküste in den Norden. Zunächst nach Rovinij und dann nach Poreč. Daraufhin sind quer durch Istrien nach Opatija, Rijeka und anschließend auf die Insel Krk gefahren.

There are a few tricks to help you guess the grammatical gender (der, die, das): If a noun ends in -or, -ling, -ig, -ner or -smus, then it is masculine and has the article “der”. For example, one would say: der Generator, der Frühling, der Honig, der Rentner und der Kapitalismus.
