Let’s be honest….it’s hard to hear a client come back and tell you that your treatment didn’t help them.
It’s tough! But here’s how to fix that!
1. Use less emollient: this will allow you to connect with a tissue better, and get deeper into it as well.
2. Slow down: it’s not a race! You’re talking with the nervous system, sometimes it takes a little bit to connect with that.
3. Be intentional: find the muscle or fascial area that is needing to be addressed and work on surrounding tissues.
4. Work up and down the kinetic chain: where they feel pain might not be where the issue is actually coming from.
5. Study!: Make sure you know what the muscles do, what they attach to, where the fascial planes are at, and make sure that you properly know how to use tools before you use them.

6. Add some active movement into your session: this helps connect the brain to the body much more quickly!

3. 💆🏼♀️Bodywork: reconnecting the brain to the body is essential
4. 🏋🏼♀️Strengthening: support the places that need it and strengthen the weaker muscles after. All around strength is the goal
5. 🍔Eating food: eat to fuel your body
6. ✌🏼Reducing stress levels: when you have les stress, your body can make other things a priority, like recovery. Meditate, yoga, journal, etc are helpful!

It also always allows for a better ROM of the shoulder because it’s not pressed into the table.
Client comfort also improves with this as well.
