Hi all,
We are so excited to announce the commencement of casting for Seance, a short horror-thriller film, which will be around 20 minutes in length.
Seance is a short film adaptation of Lex H Jones’ Seance, a short story from his anthology Whistling Past the Graveyard, which is available on Amazon. It concerns five wealthy British socialites in 1900 as they experience a night of terror when a Seance goes terribly wrong.
We are looking for six talented actors that are relatively local to the areas mentioned below. However, we are open to interested actors across the UK, if you are willing to make the commute for the filming days. We will help subsidise your travel costs.
This short film is relatively self contained, limited to three specific settings and locations. And is rich in dialogue.
Don’t be afraid if you want to get into acting, and have nothing to show for it. We are creatives and know that a start is always difficult, don’t be afraid to apply. We are here to push creative boundaries, so if you feel you are right for one of the roles, please get in contact with us.

Barnabus Crumb - Host of the seance and venture capitalist.

Alexander Sykes - Hermit, recluse and known author.
Age: 45-65

Madam Christine - Mysterious medium that can commune with the dead.
Age: 35-55
Ethnicity: Romanian, Irish, Gypsy, Latin
Professor Stanley Collins - Old school academic and skeptic. Husband to Catherine Collins.
Age: 35-60
Ethnicity: White British
Catherine Collins - Slightly alcoholic socialite. Wife to Stanley Collins.
Age: 25-40
Ethnicity: White British
Jack Sunwin - Handsome, athletic, and wealthy; heir to a large industrial fortune.
Age: 20-35
Ethnicity: White British
Assistant to Madam Christine - Small part, assists the Medium.
Age: 18-30
