One garbage truck of textile per second ‼️
This is what our world produces. Slow Fashion is a term that was first coined by author, design activist, and professor Kate Fletcher. It invites consumers to invest in lasting clothes that reduces the impact on landfills. Less than 1% of clothing materials are recycled. You can also buy second hand here in Mauritius, I recently went to Double Life. There is The Good Shop and many more shops that do not receive enough praise.
Also cheaper will rarely equal to ethically produced and I can't say all my clothes are. Absolutely not. I don't know how most of them were produced. But I try to buy second hand as much as possible or invest in lasting pieces.
Don't chase trends 😉
Buy preloved items
Donate what you don't need or reuse and recycle
I look at that teleprompter 😁 also known as autocue when doing the news. It displays the text that I have to read 😉. And I move my text with my right hand 😬. You've seen that already right !
A bit of history :
Autocue and QTV were the first to offer prompting and presentation systems to broadcasters and television production companies in 1955...
Broadcasters like Bloomberg, CNN, BBC, MTV, TF1, MBC and Doordarshan, and government, corporate and academic institutions such as the White House, Oman Ministry of Information, Bank of America use their material.
Now you know 😉
Trigger Warning : Display of real human skin 🤣
This week I had a training with Antoine Cormery, director of Académie France24. He was in Mauritius for an in-house training with the journalists of the MBC. Super grateful for this opportunity. I met him before in 2016 in another training at the Media Trust and he taught me a lot of what I know now. His insights are always very helpful and useful for progression.
I hope to use what he shared with us especially tips on presentation of news bulletins.
Black is always a great choice right 🤭😅
When the trainer from France 24 tells you to move your hands and now you just keep moving them 😅 Finding balance is hardwork 🤭
Being curly on TV means having a longer hair routine 🤣 And they never behave well...But I try to make it less frizzy 😊

Last year my sister started her dream - Her own Beauty SPA. With support from family members and a lot of dedication from her, she learned new skills while raising 3 beautiful daughters.
She did my nails so that I can rock them on TV and look great 😁😁😁.
