"I HAD A SONG I WROTE RECORDED TODAY . It was in memory of an old mate who passed away about 2 moths ago His name was Doug but his nickname was Scoop. He loved trains and Ray Charles....and I mentioned these things in a simple 12 bar blues song that he also loved .

Another 'work in progress' video - this time it's a backing track for the Beatles' "Love me do". Once again, it's not at mixing stage yet - included a bit of brass and slide guitar for fun 😃

Progress on Ed Sheeran's "Perfect" - never taken much notice of the song, but we've loved uncovering the layers as it builds. Lots of lovely string fills and all sorts of other stuff. It's unmixed, and we haven't added any guitars yet.

Finished backing track for "Tequila sunrise" on Friday, and it made its debut in public this morning 😄

Now started work on Ed Sheeran's "Perfect", which we've sort of resisted but, after listening closely to everything that's going on in there, we really like it! 🤣 Should be up and running in a couple of days.

So many other great songs on the "to do" list, and there are orders for a couple, so there'll be lots of time spent in the music room....

Busy weekend - daytime gig for KandL on Saturday, then busking at the market on Sunday - Monday was a big admin/gardening day :) ........ so it'll be back to the Trax to finish "Tequila Sunrise" today (it's 12:28am Tuesday). Some acoustic fills, electric lead and backing vocals to do - should be fun :)

Spent today putting together backing for a brand new song that Lee has written, so "Tequila sunrise" had to take a back seat for the day.....you'll get to hear Lee's new song one day soon, but it'll make its public debut tomorrow at our gig. Exciting!
