Meet me on YouTube TONIGHT for a live reaction of the official draw ceremony! Would love to see you in the chat!
I hope up this morning and this was on my heart 😂 as much as I know tennis, I know Naomi Osaka’s first grand slam back from pregnancy will be an INTERESTING draw. And it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if Coco Gauff is somehow on her path.
The two played each other in the 3rd round back in 2020.
Btw, Twitter (also known as X) is the place where I most engage with my digital community so if you haven’t found time to follow on that platform, please do!
Appreciate the support!
Just some interesting Wednesday WTA Trivia for you!
Who is it⁉️🎾 Comment below ⬇️
The is one of the last really big Women’s tournaments on the schedule before the season wraps up. The fact that a whole entire half of the draw has only won just 1 title this season kind of puts into perspective how big of title this could be for someone’s year or career!
It’s fascinating how tennis is just a sport that doesn’t stop.
Week in, week out, there are trophies being handed out.
And even after large “Super-Bowl” level tournaments like the , there’s still a lot to work for in the very next week.
This week there were events in San Diego (WTA 500) and Osaka (WTA 250), that saw champions Barbora Krejcikova and Ashlyn Krueger crowned. Krejcikova’s win moved her back up into the top 10 and Krueger, after winning her first tour title, made her top 100 debut at world number 73.
Congrats to these champs!
Over the weekend, the sporting world witnessed a huge moment in New York! I joined my friends over at Amazon Prime Sports Talk to discuss Coco Gauff's historic win at the US Open and how it may be one of the most important victories of this century.

The energy in this match has the potential to light up the New York crowd in prime time! Big serves. Athleticism. High stakes. It’s all on the line! Who’s winning?
First men’s Quarterfinal set for this afternoon. Taylor Fritz, top ranked male American is going up against Novak Djokovic. The 23 time grand slam champion leads the head to head 7-0. Can the American finally turn the tide on Arthur Ashe Stadium?
A lot is on the line in the first women’s Quarterfinal at the ! Join me for an all-American U.S. Open quarterfinal match between Frances Tiafoe and Ben Shelton Tuesday night on Arthur Ashe Stadium. It'll be a moment.
The men’s semifinals at the U.S. Open are guaranteed to include at least one American. That’s because 10th-seeded Frances Tiafoe and unseeded Ben Shelton will go head to head for one of the final four spots when they meet in the quarterfinals on Tuesday

Well look who’s making a return to the professional tennis tour! 🎾
Caroline Wozniacki 🇩🇰 has announced her intent to come back and compete on the WTA Tour.
Are you exited about the comeback? Looking forward to seeing her at the US Open?
🏆 First grass title for Carlitos
🇪🇸Alcaraz beat De Minaur🇦🇺 in Queens final to win his 1st grass title
Alcaraz returns to world number 1 after being only points away from defeat in the 1st round, but he showed strong resolve and improvement through the week
🏆Kvitova reigns supreme in Berlin
🇨🇿Petra Kvitova defeats Vekic🇭🇷 and rekindles her best tennis on German grass to win her 31st WTA title
Could the two-time Wimbledon be coming into form at the right time?
🏆Bublik champion in Halle
🇰🇿Bublik beats Rublev in a competitive final to win his 2nd and largest ATP title. He picked up wins over Zverev & Sinner.
🏆Ostapenko time in Birmingham
🇱🇻Jelena Ostapenko beats Krejcikova🇨🇿 to win her sixth career title and 2nd on grass.
That has to be somewhat of a crushing blow considering she was on an 8 match win streak and at a career high ranking coming into the tournament.
Rybakina out, Sara Sorribes Tormo moves on to the 4th round.
14-time Roland Garros champion Rafael Nadal has announced his withdrawal from the tournament this year and to some extent, his plans for the future: “It’s impossible to play Roland-Garros this year”. It will be his first time not playing the tournament since 2004.
He says his goal is to maybe play the Davis Cup at the end of the year and try to comeback without injuries for the 2024 season, what he believes will be his last on the professional tour.
All eyes will be on one of the most interesting WTA matchups of the season during the Rome quarterfinals.
Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina will play their 3rd match of 2023 with the first two going to the Wimbledon champion with convincing scorelines. Swiatek only has 4 losses on clay since the end of 2020. Could a 5th be brewing?
——
Two former top 10 players in search of better results will also be going head to head. Paula Badosa takes on Jelena Ostapenko for a spot in the Rome semis. Out of the 2, only Badosa has made it past the quarterfinal stage in a tournament this season. A big opportunity looms for both. Who’s going to take advantage?
