Sophia is 1/4 of the mighty and trusssst us when we say their name does what it says on the tin. This 4 girl collective consists of Sophia, , and - they’re unbelievably sick. Their skills and energy on the decks is next level. They have a truly beautiful connection as friends and that vibe comes through strong in their mixes and live sets. The scene has been needing a crew like this for a minute! 🔊

Sophia comes from a headzy family, with her Mum teaching her how to mix a few years back. Love that. She’s since proven herself as a wicked selector and is now a resident for with previous sets alongside some certi names, e.g , , , .g to to mention a few.

Sophia has played in London, Manchester and Leeds and have got loads of exciting stuff coming up in 2022 with Girls Don’t Sync. Some of her and the GDS 2021 highlights include a crazy set for , and . Also playing Kaleidoscope in her home county of Wiltshire was a stand out. PLUS a naughty solo set for .sound in Liverpool recently. SOUL MASS TRANSIT SYSTEM 🚌

The mix is primarily UNRELEASED SMTS productions with a few more exclusive gems thrown in good measure. Only FOUR of these tunes have been released. You know they had to make it a special one 🎁

The Leeds based pair have made an unbelievable impact in the last 24 months. Their music blends multiple U.K. dance styles into a professionally wrapped package, with their knowledge and exploration of vintage U.K. garage being the ribbon on top. Their 2-step is fully the best out there, they can throw together the naughtiest of breakbeats/jungle and in truth, their releases have been of such a high standard it’s pure GAS they’ve put together a guest mix for us to wrap the year up so nicely.

Soul Mass Transit System have graced the most prestigious labels with releases on; Time Is Now () and to mention a few, with upcoming music in February on Instinct () and both of which are live to pre-order on Juno Records.

You’re likely to see them on a selection of lineups in 2022 in what we can assume will be yet another year of wicked releases and music for the heads to enjoy.

Stepping in week to provide the sonics for the 38th entry to the SOLITUDE guest mix series is the elusive, Bristol based don dada known as

We proper love this one. Daffy’s mix ticks every box for what we rate in the realms of UKG and beyond. It’s loaded with speed garage, iconic samples, rollin basslines and just makes ya bop your head and smile.

Daffy has a real unique sound and has been putting work in for a years. We’re gassed to see his name pop up across multiple corners of the underground.

Whether he’s pushing dark 2 step, breaks n jungle, soulful bubblers or jazzy garage, the quality is always top level. His release history is sick, with drops for , , / to list a few. He’s also sitting on more edits/bootlegs than most artists making music right now.

Daffy has recently launched his own label which deserves a follow right now if ya know what’s good. The AA001 release is unbelievably smooth. The tune’s called ‘Gold’ by on the A Side, and a huge remix by on the B side. 300 copies, no repress, exclusive s**t for the heads.

We also strongly suggest you keep an ear out for his upcoming EP with releasing on Time Is Now ()

Keeping it international this week, we’re gassed to drop an ultra headzy, proper heavyweight mix from Sydney based Akul 🇦🇺

If you’re into your 2-step garage and minimal heaters, you probably already know about Akul. If not, now is a good time to learn 📚 Akul’s SOLITUDE mix marks the 37th entry to the series. It’s dark, rollin and full to the brim with intricate drums, stripped back basslines and real steppy garage sounds for your listening pleasure.

He co-runs alongside and - these three are really representing the style of UKG that we love, it’s sick to see the Aussie crew killing it!

Akul has also been a big part of Extra Spicy’s movements this year, including running set for a takeover in Sydney that looked unbelievably sick.

He’s been doing damage for a while now, with consistent stellar releases dropping on the mighty , Australia based and , plus a BADBOY forthcoming for Russian label for their Spezial Series VA - that one drops on cassette and digital.
