The broadcast will consist of a replay of our special 30th anniversary transmission, originally aired on 4th January 2016 which includes interviews to Dario Monferini and Roberto Scaglione, two well-known figures of the Italian DX scene who passed away in this very sad 2022.

That wants to be our modest tribute to Dario (editor of Play DX) and Roberto (Host of AWR's Italian DX programme).

We are glad to announce that Marconi Radio International has got a new power amplifier and is now being able to broadcast with a power in the region of 250/270 watts AM mode. The first broadcast with this new equipment is planned on 5th April 2021, from 0900 to 1030 UTC with a repeat from 1600 to 1730 UTC. The frequency? 11390 kHz. We received 97 reception reports for our test broadcast in October 2020 as well as on 25th December 2020. Thank you very much for your feedback. As you are aware, we are back on the air but still with test broadcasts. There are new plans which are going to become reality. Currently we are busy with installing new antennas, building new transmitters and/or repairing some old power amplifiers. Our (near) future plans include transmissions on three different frequencies. We have started sending eQSL verifications only yesterday (Sorry for this heavy delay). Currently, 62 reception reports are still pending, but we want to inform the shortwave community that all of them, will be verified in the next 15 days.

Please be advised that Marconi Radio International will once again be on air tomorrow, Saturday, 31 October 2020, as follows: 07.00-08.00 UTC on 11390 kHz and 16.00-17.00 UTC on 7720 kHz (USB Mode).

To celebrate Halloween, we’ll air a special show, with a number of rock songs, from punk to power metal, with the word "Halloween" in their title.
