đŸđŸ”„ Lucas Oil Speedway Delivers a Nail-Biter as Brundige2 Scores Breakthrough Win

The 358 Mod National Tour’s visit to Lucas Oil Speedway produced a tight, elbows-up sprint to the line, capped by Nick Brundige2 taking the checkers in just his second career ICL start. Early on, Ray Ramey—making his first appearance since 2023—went head-to-head with Brundige2 for control. As the run settled in, Aidan Strawberry methodically picked his way forward from sixth, cleared Ramey, and then traded laps with Brundige2 all the way to the stripe. Brundige2 held firm to seal a statement victory and instantly plant his name on the season’s winners list.

Strawberry’s runner-up continued a rock-solid march that has defined his season. The P2 finish adds 11 championship points under the tour’s 12-to-win, one-point-per-position system and stretches his advantage over championship pursuer JT Ferry, who battled from deep in the pack to finish eighth. With no qualifying bonus reported for this round, Strawberry’s pure finishing points swing over Ferry (second vs. eighth) widens the title gap at a crucial moment in the schedule.

Ramey capped his return with a composed third, locking down a podium after mixing it up for the lead in the first half. Behind the top three, Taylor Wason2 grabbed fourth, while Chase Miller9 completed the top five. The night’s biggest charge belonged to Ferry, who advanced from 17th to eighth—best net gain in the top ten—on a track where every pass mattered. Brandon Dittmer also made meaningful forward progress, climbing from 15th to 10th by the end.

Not everyone escaped unscathed. Brayden Martin was the first retiree after contacting the infield tire on lap two, bringing an early end to his night. On the other side of the ledger, Brundige2’s win instantly recalibrates the competitive picture: after a modest debut in a midget at Limaland back in September (8th to 11th run), he delivered a complete performance at Lucas to claim his first ICL win in the 358 Mods.

In the championship, Strawberry remains firmly in command and now sits 55 points clear of Ferry. The fight for third tightens as Brayden E Carter, Seth Gregory, and Ben Joly are separated only by inches on paper, while Kinser Lightner and Tyler Ducharme lurk with race-winning ceilings. With rounds still to come, every position—and the occasional qualifying bonus—will carry even more weight.

đŸđŸ”„ Kern County Raceway Park — Strawberry Converts, Joly And Carter Keep The Pressure On

Round 11 at Kern County Raceway Park tightened the screws on the 358 Mod National Tour. Over 22 green-flag laps, the front group traded punches until the race settled into a measured sprint to the flag. Aidan Strawberry took control after the lone pass for the lead and managed the pace from there, stacking maximum feature points on a night where the gaps were built in tenths, not seconds.

Ben Joly chased Strawberry all the way to the stripe for second, his mid-race consistency keeping the leader honest. Behind them, Brayden E Carter completed the podium and owned the race’s outright quickest lap at 14.705—an important tell with the schedule entering its late stretch. Up front, the first portion of the event was exactly as advertised: the top four were glued together, probing for overlap and forcing each other into perfect entries. Justin Veal, on debut, set fast time in qualifying and led early portions of the fight before the rhythm tipped Strawberry’s way. It was Veal’s 13th career ICL start (first in this series) and his best moment of the night was pure pace at the sharp end—no points narrative needed yet.

The hard-charger headline was shared three ways. Hunter Dunn (P12 → P5), JT Ferry (P13 → P6), and Tyler Alwardt (P15 → P8) each gained seven spots to tie for the night’s biggest climbs—valuable swings under a format that pays 12 points to win and then steps down one point per position. Those gains cushion the title math: nights like this don’t always make the splashy recap line, but they often decide the final column.

Not everyone escaped clean. Cole Stangle’s promising P6 start unraveled to P11 after a disconnect, while several mid-pack runners ended as DQs, turning potential top-10 nights into damage control. Brayden Long’s result was also wiped after running on the fringe of the top 10. Meanwhile, Blake T Adams delivered a tidy P7 from inside the top 10 all race, and Derrick Rucker and Dusty Fincher locked down ninth and tenth with steady, low-risk laps in traffic.

In the championship picture, Strawberry’s win extends a lead built on conversion: four wins in ten starts and every finish inside the top 10. Ferry’s +7 drive to P6 kept the deficit from ballooning and continues his pattern of making value from tough grids. Carter’s podium—and the fastest lap—underscores a late-season surge that’s moved him into the thick of second-place contention. Joly’s runner-up adds another top-five to what’s become one of the paddock’s most efficient points returns, now three top-fives in his last four.

What’s Next
Weedsport is up next for Round 12. With its tight radius corners and punishing exits, recent single-lap speed from Carter and Joly’s long-run balance will be worth watching as the front group tries to trim Strawberry’s advantage.
