Perturbing images and videos are being ominously posted on a children’s network Twitter page 📺

Canal 5 (Channel 5 in English) is a child-oriented public TV channel based out of City. Established in 1952, they broadcast to a city of nearly 21 million. They have an official account and on April 1st, 2020, a twitter follower discovered a strange and unsettling undercurrent of posts.

Twitter User found a strange video posted to the twitter account near 3 AM that day. It was a distorted version of “Lunchtime” by English children’s novelist from the youtube Channel “Kid's Poems and Stories'’. The video had its colors rearranged from pastels to red and black. The video zoomed in on the creepy distorted face of Rosen as the sound compressed and pitch fell to the point of unintelligibility. Reportedly, the tweet was deleted by 7 AM the same day. Amateur investigators scoured the internet and, much to their surprise, they found multiple instances of these posts over the last couple of months under the same time frame. This included creepy videos with no context, off pictures, and a few children’s cartoons that had been manipulated to give an impression.

The users seem perplexed by what they found, and the whistleblower even noticed people trying to hack into her account. Canal 5 never made a public statement, but the Mexican news media has published several articles. Some speculate it is a new viral marketing technique or simply a hacker having some fun. Although all the videos are actually re-uploads of existing content, some believe the videos reveal satanic symbols in children’s programming.

Do you think the culture from the dark corners of the internet is leaking into children’s programming? Could this be a publicity stunt or is there an underlying message?

More than just GMOs and controversy 🌾

Founded in 1901, Monsanto started as a plastics company, most notable for its part in creating a attraction. In the early 80s they transitioned into agricultural ; developing pesticides and genetically modified crops. The work done by Monsanto has always been marred by their relentless pursuit of profit and expansion. The company made headlines in the 90s when the British public clamored for investigations into the safety of products. Monsanto's response was less than savory with their attitude of “if they try to stop us, we will fight them in court”.

Many countries had already banned or limited the use of genetically modified products and Monsanto’s involvement in legal battles has not helped the image of either. A famous case is that of Percey Schmeiser, a Canadian farmer who had the misfortune of getting tangled with the company’s controversial licensing rules. Monsanto does not permit any entity to collect or reuse their crop seeds which stands in direct opposition to long-held traditions in . Schmeiser claimed that a variety of Monsanto’s canola seeds contaminated his field, resulting in a large yield of the patented seeds. Because he had not paid for the use of these seeds, Monsanto took action as soon as they caught wind. The company demanded that he sign a licensing agreement to the tune of 15,000 dollars which Schmeiser refused. The case was elevated to the Canadian Supreme Court in which won with a 5-4 vote. In classic Monsanto style, their website has a dedicated page disparaging Schmeiser as a “patent violator". Monsanto’s practices also raise valuable questions about how a business can patent a living thing.

Do you think Monsanto is overstepping the boundaries of patent law? Did the law fail Percey Schmeiser in this case? Is there any redemption for Monsanto's public image?

The biggest and strangest airport in the United States 🛬

In 1994, received a new international airport. All was well and good until some people began to question certain aspects of the building itself. The first semi-odd thing is that the (DIA) is the largest airport in North America by far. At 135.69km², it's about 1.5 times the size of Manhattan and about double the size of the next largest airport, the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. It was also built about 2 billion dollars over budget.

This alone wouldn't cause much concern, but then there are other things like the strange artwork, the interesting statues, and the weird markings on the floor all over the airport. There are murals that depict strange N**i-looking men with swords, a runway set up that resembles a sw****ka, statues of talking gargoyles, and there is a huge red-eyed horse outside the airport. The final straw was an image from a supposed worker who said the is built over 5 buildings with miles of secret underground tunnels. This led to theories that this building is the center of an underground bunker complex for select world leaders, or that it is the central building for the . While not much can be proven, the dedication marker does contain the crest, and it names a group called "New World Airport Commission", which has no evidence of other projects. Overall, all these small things add up to a very uneasy feeling and make you wonder about the secrets hidden at the DIA.

In December of 2019, Dr. Wenliang first identified COVID-19, but his report was censored by the Chinese government quickly and efficiently 🚫

Dr. Li Weinliang, an ophthalmologist from , China, first got a hold of a report of a SARS-like coronavirus case at the Wuhan Central Hospital on December 30th, 2019. That same day, Dr. Weinlang shared the news of the virus to his school classmates in a private group chat on a Chinese messaging app known as . He mentioned that the virus was spreading near the Huanan Seafood Market and that everyone should be careful. The group chat conversation was screenshotted and spread amongst forums. The government traced the source and from there, Dr. Weinlang, as well as others, were taken into questioning by the Police Department. They were reprimanded for rumor-mongering and their story was shared on Central Chinese TV. In addition, Dr. Weinlang was forced to sign a statement of admonishment for his “rumors” and upload it to his social media.

Unfortunately, Dr. Weinlang went back to work, and eventually caught the disease he was trying to spread awareness about. He died in the hospital on February 7th after his infection took him into critical condition. The Chinese Supreme People’s Court apologized to the doctors who were punished for their “rumor-mongering” and even admitted that, “it might have been a fortunate thing if the public had believed the 'rumors' then”.

This incident has caused awareness of the censorship that goes on in . One can only wonder what the world would look like today if Dr. Weinlang’s advice had been followed at the start of the .

Do you think this incident will lead to more open freedom of speech in China?

A well-documented account from 1917, claiming that the Virgin Mary appeared and performed a miracle in Fátima, Portugal ☀️

At the height of tension brought on by in Europe, three shepherd children claimed to have received a from an angelic “Lady in White”: that the war would end through prayer and that people would see a so great they would all believe.

Starting in May 1917, Lucia, along with her two cousins, began getting visited by a mysterious angelic woman. She told them, according to Lucia’s memoirs, that she was going to visit every month for 6 months, and that on the last month she would perform a miracle. With each passing month, and subsequent visitation, the children began getting more and more attention from their claims of apparitions. People all around had heard of the event that was going to transpire. pilgrims even regarded the children as saints.

On the morning of the proposed event, between 70,000-100,000 people walked 2 kilometers to Cova de Iria. As people looked upon the sky, they saw what is now called the . Eyewitness reports vary, but some mention that the sun appeared to zigzag in the sky. Others say that it became various different colors. A news article written at the time mentions that the sun was not painful to look at and looked like a silver plaque. On-lookers in the crowd began chanting prayers and thanking the for this miracle. The mysterious lady reportedly never returned to the children after that.

People are still not sure what happened that day, but some experts claim it was all just public paranoia and group-think. Skeptics ask why this region of the world saw this miracle and not everyone else on earth. Overall, the event remains a well documented though hotly debated “miracle”.

Do you believe this was a real life miracle or just mass hysteria?

A N**i doctor who conducted human experiments 💉

In 1943, at the concentration camp, some of the most evil experiments ever were being conducted in the name of on twins and people with physical abnormalities.

During World War II, the **i doctor, Josef Mengele, was trying to understand how genetics worked and whether certain traits were nurtured into people or engendered by nature. This was a classic question, but Mengele was trying to use humans, especially people with uncommon traits, to study it. These included dwarves, people with different eye color, twins and people with other abnormalities. With the twins, his method was to use one twin as a control, and subject the other to horrible experiments. In the end both would be executed and autopsied for changes in their physiology. The horrible acts committed by Mengele didn't seem to not phase him, reports say that he would often sing on the job.

When the N**i regime fell, Mengele escaped to South America to hide from the Mossad and N**i hunters. Reports of him staying in the town of Cândido Godói, Brazil have been evidenced by a boom of twins births in the early 90s. This town had a rate more than 5 times higher than the state it resides in. Some believe that this was Mengele's final project: create more twins to experiment on. Theories assume he discovered some genetic way of inducing more twin births and would perform it on the young women of the town. However, some scientists and geneticists have rejected the claim that he had anything to do with the twins. The rejections stem from the idea that there is no way he would have understood how to do such a thing.

Mengele was confirmed to have died in 1979 but his experiments still may be unfolding in South America. Do you think he had a hand in the increased twin births?

One of the most notorious unsolved mass kidnappings in Mexico 🇲🇽

On September 26th, 2014, 43 male students from the Ayotzinapa Rural Teachers’ College were forcibly kidnapped in , Guerrero, — allegedly by corrupt police and government officials.

On the night group of the incident, a group of around 100 student arrived in the town of Iguala to collect buses to travel to to commemorate the anniversary of the 1968 Tlatelolco massacre and to protest a conference of the wife of then-Mayor, José Luis Abarca Velázquez. The Velázquezes were corrupt and had connections with major organized crime in the region and were aware of the activist's plans.

The local municipal police were told that several buses were hijacked and needed to be stopped. At around 9:00 PM that night, police opened fire on these supposedly “hijacked” buses. During this firing, 2 students were killed. The remaining students were ordered out of the buses and eyewitnesses claim that the students who remained were taken into custody. After that, they were never seen again.

According to official government statements the students were handed over to a local narco gang known as Guerreros Unidos by a few corrupt police officers, where they were murdered and burned in a nearby garbage dump. However, almost no one believed that story. Most believe that the truth as to what happened to those students is connected to a complicated web of corrupt politicians, dirty municipal and military police, cartels, and the Mexican government. The government, under international pressure, had to reopen the investigation and was forced to allow international experts into the cases. The fight for justice has been spearheaded by the families of the students who went missing, but in the end, the investigations came up inconclusive.

What do you think happened? What more can be done to bring justice for the students?

An ethically unjustified medical experiment on African American patients 🩺

Imagine thinking you’re going in for treatment only to find out that you are part of a study that is testing to see what an untreated disease would do your body. This happened to African American males with in Macon County, Alabama between the years of 1932 and 1972.

In 1932, the United States Public Health Service approved the , an experiment where black men were told that they were being treated for syphilis when in actuality they were just given placebos. Dr. Taliaferro Clark and Dr. Thomas Parran Jr. created the experiment for the purpose of examining how black men responded to untreated syphilis. The researchers justified the study by claiming that black men would be unlikely to seek treatment anyway, due to their “rampant s*x drive” and “lack of virtue”. However, at the very start of the study, many black men sought treatment, proving the assumption wrong.

This 40-year long study involved restricting patients from outside sources of treatment, required several painful spinal taps, and collected autopsies of all the patients that died. By the end of the study various patients not only died of syphilis but also passed it onto their spouses and children. The ethical ramifications of this story becoming public caused a series of congressional hearings and enactments of research-related legislation. The federal government also paid out millions of dollars to the surviving members of the study. Overall, this study showed that ethics can have some slippery slopes and dangerous repercussions.

What do you think? Does this make you wonder what other kinds of deceptive studies have happened in the name of ?

The greatest aviation mystery of all time 🛫

In the modern age its nearly impossible to lose large vehicles, especially a plane — there is always a way of locating them with technology. However, six years ago, the impossible happened.

On March 8th, 2014, Malaysia Airlines disappeared while flying from Selangor, to Beijing, . At 12:41 AM, the aircraft left the Kuala Lumpur International Airport and reached cruising altitude at 1:01 AM. The plane sent automated aircraft performance data until 1:07 AM, where that automated system was switched off manually. The 2 pilots communicated with Malaysian air traffic control until 1:19 AM, where they said their final words before entering Vietnamese air space and subsequently turned off the plane’s transponder. After this, the plane’s path gets strange. Military satellites and radars tracked the plane turning around from its original path. It continued this way until the signal vanished over the Indian Ocean at 8:11 AM.

No one knows what happened inside the plane after it left the ground, but many theories have surfaced. Some people believe the plane was hijacked, but never has a plane been hijacked so quickly and efficiently. Other theories include a shoot-down hypothesis, cyberattack, and even that the pilots may have gone crazy and diverted the plane to its destruction. Overall, many suspect that something strange happened and that this was no accident.

This mystery has been one of the most costly aviation search efforts in history and even with 3 years of international help, no conclusion can be made. All we have are the chilling last words of the pilots: “Good night, Malaysian 370…”

What do you think? Is the disappearance of this plane an accident or part of a larger scheme?

In 1977, the Ohio State University’s Big Ear radio telescope picked up a signal that to this day cannot be properly explained and is believed to be of extraterrestrial origin 📡

A group working for the Scientific Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence ( ) recorded radio signals pointed towards the Sagittarius constellation. One signal shocked Jerry R. Ehman so much that he wrote WOW! on the data sheet, leading to the name, .

This unmodulated continuous signal lasted for about 72 seconds and is one of the most scrutinized and studied case around the world. It became the topic of discussion as possible natural explanations were hypothesized and discarded. The original group of researchers claim that this message was from an civilization.

The signal was using hydrogen, the most common element in the , to emit radio signals of 1420 megahertz — an element likely familiar to all technologically advanced civilizations. The signal was never picked up again. However, in 2012, the Arecibo Observatory made a response acquired from ~10,000 messages, and sent it towards the source of the signal. Now, we wait...

Do you think were trying to communicate with us? Is there a natural explanation for this signal?

Members of a secret society that some people suspect have had an influential role in U.S. history 📰

The Freemasons or Masons, have been around for centuries and theories about what this society has been hiding are just as old. This exclusive club, limited only to men, was one of the most powerful groups of our history and has been at the center of many controversies. Members of the club are required to perform rituals and make certain pacts to keep their society a secret. Details of those ceremonies are somewhat limited and a mystery to most.

The first secret meetings are believed to have started in 1717 and since then the are said to have influenced many formative historical events. In , the Masons were known for plotting against the . In , they became known for promoting virtues of self-government. In addition, 14 out of 45 presidents have been tied to Freemasonry, including the first president, George Washington. Many leaders around the world have also been Freemasons. Some even connect the group to the crusades, as descendants of the Knight’s Templar who led the Holy Wars during the 10th-12th centuries.

In the past, this group was also known for violently defending its secrets. In 1826, William Morgan managed to infiltrate the and discovered some of their hidden rituals. His plan was to write a book about all he learned and release it to the public. Before he could, he was arrested and later disappeared from his prison cell in Batavia, New York. He was never heard from again. The book was still published, sparking an anti-Masonic movement at the time.

Why have so many influential people been tied to Freemasonry? What secrets are they hiding?

Have you ever seen a plane in the sky that upon closer inspection looks a little odd and miss-shaped? ✈️

It may have been the mysterious plane that has been proposed by theorists for decades!

Since the beginning of military defense technology, leaders have kept classified their most potential weapons. Our time is no exception. In a secret section of the desert known as , some deep dark military projects have taken place. Secret planes like the confirmed Lockheed U-2 spy plane and Lockheed A-12 “Oxcart” have been developed there.

The one plane rumored to have been developed but never confirmed is the TR-3B plane. Also known as the , this craft has been described as a black triangle with unique technological characteristics. The reason for the secrecy may be because it allegedly harnesses technology. This would break many established laws of nature and would open up many questions. People around the world have witnessed this aircraft, but most cases are in the United States. Sightings have been reported in Belgian, Germany (1989), Phoenix, Arizona ( , 1997), Southern Illinois (2000), Tinley Park, Illinois (2004-2006), Kansa and Texas (2014). Some people even claim to have video evidence.

The Nazca region of Southern is home to some huge designs that were carved into the ground by an ancient civilization 🌀

The are a group of geometric shapes and images that span large regions of the desert of Peru and have lasted for as long as 1500 years. The images themselves are huge, some as big as 1200 ft, and some of the straight lines are 30 miles long. The images range from simple to the downright strange. Included in the group of carvings are a tree, a flower, a spider, a monkey, a giant pair of open hands, and a giant humanoid creature waving at the sky, along with many more.

The purpose of these carvings remain a mystery, and many theories have surfaced. Some maintain that there is astronomical significance in the figures, while others say they had ritualistic meaning to the Nazca people. Others say that these lines show signs of attempts to communicate with their gods, and that this could be evidence of contact. The amateur archaeologist, Erich von Däniken, says that the waving giant portrayed in the hillside, sometimes called the astronaut, is the figure of the alien seen by the Nazca people.

What do you think the purpose of these carvings were? Do you think aliens contacted the Nazca people?
