Today makes 9 years since my su***de attempt. This year when I think back on this day I feel really sad for the girl I was. The girl who didn’t think her life was worth anything. The girl who thought the world would benefit without her in it. The girl who was in so much pain and decided to give up and give in.

Today I know this to be false, but that 17 year old girl didn’t know any better. I thank God everyday for letting me live. For giving me a second chance at life. It still took me years after the attempt to finally begin to be the person God set out for me to be.

Today I am so proud of myself. I am the confident, strong woman God intended me to be. Today I thank him for the air I breath, for waking me up sober, I thank myself for pulling through, and I would like to give that little girl a hug and tell her to keep fighting because we have so much more living to do🙏🏻

Cheers to 3️⃣ years sober!!!🎉🔥

3 years ago I found myself in yet again a horrible situation due to my drinking. I hated myself and I knew my drinking was all the cause but I didn’t know how to stop. When I found program and a group of people who understood my thinking it became clear to me that my “drinking problem” wasn’t just going to go away. No matter how much of a break I gave myself there would be no way I could ever drink like a “normal person”. At the age of 22 I thought my life was over because I had to give up drinking for FOREVER! It seemed so hard to process.

For me it’s really simple. I have to keep it in the day and only focus on the 24 hours of the day. I can’t think about the future. I have to stay focused on how I will continue my sobriety for the day. It’s led me to 3 years of sobriety!!

I am so so grateful for the support I have and for my sober people I have in my life! I couldn’t do it without you all! A HUGE thank you to my family as well as my amazing mans who gives me constant confidence! He’s been my rock through the whole process! I couldn’t do it without God and my continued spiritual growth.

I’m so FRICKEN proud of myself! And also feel like the best version of myself today and I owe that all to my sobriety🙏🏻 it’s allowed me to finally love myself!

Hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday! I stayed in pajamas all day for the first Christmas ever! It was a day spent playing games with my whole family, reading, relaxing and enjoying each other’s company 🥰🎄

1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ days sober😱🤭🥳🥰🥺

I have so many mixed emotions today!!! First off I am so FRICKEN proud of myself!!!! Secondly, I’m emotional thinking about the girl who started this journey 1000 days ago thinking that this would never happen! And third, I’m so fricken grateful for my supportive community and my friends and family who make this journey so much easier for me!!!
1,000 days ago I was lost searching for myself and who I was without the alcohol. Today I am an honest girlfriend, sister, daughter, and friend. I am loyal to the core and so dedicated to my sobriety. I have met some of the most amazing human beings along the way and of course have seen my core group of people who have stuck by me through thick and thin!
Today I am constantly working on better myself mentally, physically and spiritually. I have a God of my understanding and I can show up for myself and others. I am so incredibly blessed and I encourage anyone who is struggling with their relationship with alcohol to consider the endless possibilities that sobriety can give you!! WE DON’T HAVE TO DRINK☺️ and we can still be fun and happy and most importantly our true self. I’m so grateful🥰🥺🙏🏻 CHEERS TO SOBRIETY ONE DAY AT A TIME🥳🥳🥳❤️🙏🏻
