We've changed. We're now a mobile recording studio!

Recording Live is a mobile recording business based in Melbourne, which comes to you!

- Do you have a favorite place where your band sounds great?
- A favorite rehearsal room?
- Your own space?
- A live gig?

All of these situations can be covered by recording live.

We have a state of the art digital recording system which is compact and powerful, making the recording session a breeze. We also supply all mics, headphones and at the end of it all a CD, digital file or both.

Who are we? We're Steve and Steve. You may have heard of us and our fantastic $350.00 demo specials that ran out of the infamous "Yourspace Studios".

After the session has been recorded we take the tracks back to our purpose built mixing studio. There we mix your tracks presenting the finished product to you and your band.

Hours and costs vary though we have found from experience 10-15 hours will get you 3-5 great demo/EP tracks for $350.00. Check out some of the bands we've recorded so far at our soundcloud page https://soundcloud.com/recording-live-melbourne

It is with deep regret and sadness we can inform you that Yourspace Studios has ceased to trade and has closed.

We would like to thank all of our customers who have supported us through the years and wish you all the best in your musical endeavors.

The journey is not completely over as Steve and Steve will continue with their famous $350.00 recording demo special (more info to come soon).

I love an easy amp fix. Customer says: Hey Steve, can you check out my amp, it's sounding F #%KED. Steve says: Sure. Steve turns a few k***s, changes speaker box and it still definitely sounds rooted. Steve notices some aluminum foil coming out from the back of the amp, wedged between the amp and housing. Turns off the amp, removes the aluminum and the amp works! Just another night at Yourspace Studios.

Getting the best guitar sound in the studio doesn't necessarily mean monster amps at ear drum bursting volumes. Some of the best sounds were produced from 3 watt amps (cranked of course!) Fortunately reproducing it live requires some wattage (100W Mesa Boogie for example...)

Some great tips for strengthening and technique. The chromatic exercise (or synchronising as he calls it) is an excellent exercise. You can switch it up by also doing 2 finger, 3 finger and alternate finger runs in both forward and backward directions.
