EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 28-2021
AN ORDER IMPOSING A FOURTEEN (14) DAY GRANULAR OR DIAMETRIC CONTAINMENT IN THE CITY OF SORSOGON UPON RECOMMENDATION OF THE LOCAL COVID-19 TASK FORCE
### Whereas, in light of the escalation in the number of cases of COVID-19 in the City of Sorsogon, there is a need to impose Zoning Containment Strategies on identified hotspots to contain and mitigate COVID-19;
NOW THEREFORE, I, MA. ESTER E. HAMOR, Mayor of City of Sorsogon, by the powers vested in me, do hereby declare the imposition of a 14-day granular/diamentric containment on households/compounds/streets/puroks/sitio or similar geographical units identified and recommended by the District Health Offices, the City Health Office and the Local COVID-19 Task Force especifically to facilitate contact tracing and limit the mobility of close contacts, hereby containing the spread of COVID-19;
The period of containment may be adjusted subject likewise to the recommendation of the District Health Offices, the City Health Office and the Sorsogon City Inter-agency Task Force.
FURTHER, the Philipine National Police (PNP) is directed to ensure that all quarantine protocols are in place and that only frontliners are allowed unhampered access to the identified areas. Additional security shall be provided by other uniformed personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Philippine Coastguard (PCG), Armed Forces of the Philippine (AFP), Reservist, the Seguridad, Kaayusan, Katrangkilohan, asin Kauswagan (SK3), City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), Barangay Officials and Barangay Tanods.
LIKEWISE, the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), is directed to ensure the basic necessities and commodities to the families affected as a result of granular lockdown.
This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
