Quarantine Money 🎉💰🤑 0 - 73k in Sales from March 1st to till 22 April 2020. (FB ads alone)!💲💲
Below image is the client's account I run ads for 👇.
The takeaways are these:
1. Keep Things Simple. 😊😊
You need at least four fundamental things 4️⃣:
• A Good Product;
• A Good Store;
• A Good Ad and;
• Good Principles in terms of Facebook Ads/ Email Marketing.
When running Facebook Ads I often start off with CBO. If you have done your targeting right/given it a big enough budget - Facebook's Algorithm tends to work in your favour 👑.
If one of these 4 fundamentals ain't working then you can't get huge success 😩.
Verum's strategy is super helpful to understand how CBO works and he also provides a video on how to do product research 👍. I suggest you look at his announcement page.
2. Be Patient 🙏.
I've have come across too many "entrepreneurs" not being patient with results/rushing to get started rather than listen to advice or tips. Often I just leave them to that because 9 times out of 10 I think you learn better that way 🤷🏾♂️.
I also see a lot of people give up after 3/4 days because they don't understand metrics or simply think this is a get rich quick scheme. 🚶♂️
Remember it's a legit business!!! Brick and Mortar companies don't see a ROI for years to come. 🤔🏬
You will never succeed if you don't have the right mindset. 🧠
Facebook's Algorithm is a machine learning system. So that means the more data you feed it, guess what? The better it learns and tells you what it has learnt! 👨🏫
This doesn't mean you should continue running ads when it's not a profitable product. What I'm saying is make sure to understand the metrics and not simply follow a strategy blindly. 🤔
The client below didn't start off that well in terms of ROAS or sales numbers. However, we waited it out, looked at our KPI's and improved them. 👨⚕️
We also didn't scale up too aggressively. Our first campaigns were only $50. Facebook really doesn't like fast scaling which can cause ad accounts being disabled/banned. Facebook wants a long term relationship with you and your potential customers.
Be reasonable/smart in your scaling and Facebook will reward you for it. 🍾
3. LAA's and Custom Audiences 👨🍳👩🌾👨🔧👩🚀
LAA's and Customs Audience are key essentials in terms of scaling. You need at least 100 events for a particular action in order to build LAA's from it.
Work your way down the funnel in order to get those sales. So create LAA's for Video Views- Add to Cart- Initiate Checkout etc.
I like to group my campaigns structures for LAA's as follows:
Campaign 1 - (1 -3% Video Views)
Campaign 2 - (4-6% Video Views) etc etc
This is so I can give CBO enough room and data to find the best audience. Then take those audiences and put it in a separate campaign as winners. Then also scale that.🏆
When it comes to retargeting ads I don't start that for a couple of days if it's a new ad account. Simply because you ain't got no data at first to retarget, often times the adset won't even deliver, so make sure you have abandoned cart emails in place from the start! I recommend Omnisend but Klaviyo is just as good. 🍃
I could go into a ton more detail but if you have any questions regarding FB Ads comment below. I'm happy to help.
