I caught a glimpse of me starting at these weights with pure disgust while making a tik tok. I laughed so hard 😂 surrounded by a ton Christmas decorations. I know these Target weights 🎯will be a part of my freedom journey when it comes to loving all parts of me unconditionally. These weights are not going anywhere and I need to deal with my “hate for them”. Happy Sunday! ☀️💪🏽

Today we celebrate FREEDOM for black people in America and our continued fight for equity 🖤

The topic today is not whether or not a federal holiday was necessary or enough... today we celebrate our ancestors that began the work to rebuild the black community starting in 1862 after centuries of enslavement. I am grateful for everything they had to overcome and their willingness to continue the fight for freedom 🤎

Thank you to our allies who acknowledge everything our people had to endure and still experience 159 years later. Happy Juneteenth Everyone! ❤️

As we recognize National Flag Day, I wanted to share the Pan-African Flag (also known as the Afro-American Flag or Black Liberation Flag). I did not learn about this flag in school and felt this would be a great day to share Marcus Garvey's creation from 1920.

As a Black American I feel a connection to both the Pan-African Flag and American Flag. For me, one flag just does not represent my ancestry and connection to my cultural experience. I love them both!

Happy Flag Day! ❤🖤💚🇺🇸

Red: The blood that unites all people of Black African ancestry, and shed for liberation
Black: Black people whose existence as a nation, though not a nation-state, is affirmed by the flag
Green: The abundant natural wealth of Africa

White: Signifies purity and innocence
Red: Hardiness & valour
Blue: The color of the Chief (the broad band above the stripes) signifies vigilance, perseverance & justice

Corporate KIN celebrates Juneteenth with our African flag inspired logo tank top. The emancipation of slavery in the United States was a step towards seeking equity and equality for the African American community. 🌍

As a black-owned business this day in history has allowed my business to exist. On June 19th, 1865 in Galveston, TX union soldiers enforced the Emancipation Proclamation freeing all remaining slaves. While there is still much work to be done to achieve equity, we celebrate black life and the many ways black culture has contributed to American culture, our economy, and our history. ❤

Being raised by family members that spent time in the Air Force, Army, and Marines, I recognize how lucky I am to still have them in my life

I would like to share the names Sergent William Walker and Private Sylvester Ray. Both spoke out against unfair pay of black soliders. In June 1864, equal pay was established.

Today we HONOR and REMEMBER all of those who are serving, have served, or died serving. Happy Memorial Day! ❤
