In 2025, MOSI’s iconic Dome will transform into the second-largest planetarium in the United States, setting a new standard for immersive astronomical exploration.
Dinosaur Discoveries: Ancient Fossils, New Ideas, will be coming to MOSI in January. This engaging exhibition that will reveal a vivid picture of what living, breathing dinosaurs were really like. This exhibition introduces how thinking about dinosaur biology has changed over recent years, highlighting research by scientists from the American Museum of Natural History and other leading paleontologists around the world.
Did you get a new telescope for the holidays and need to learn how to use it? Join the MOSI astronomers at Stargazing 101. Join us in the MOSI Science Park for a two hour telescope tutoring session. Bring your own telescope and learn how to set it up, align it, and explore the night sky like a pro. Our space experts will guide you through the basics, helping you unlock the wonders of astronomy from your own backyard.

After Hurricane Milton passed through with intensity last night, we know how challenging it can be to assess damage and begin recovery, and we’re here to support one another. Let’s come together to help clear debris and check in on our neighbors as we begin the cleanup process. Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine is expected to be Tropical Storm Helene today in the NW Caribbean then strengthen into a hurricane and be a major hurricane in the eastern Gulf of Mexico by Thursday. This storm is expected to become a major category 3 hurricane.
