"Recently, I had the privilege to visit many historic churches and basilicas across Europe. The sheer magnitude of the effort behind these masterpieces is awe-inspiring—artists painstakingly painting and sculpting without modern equipment, often hanging from roofs or bending their bodies to bring their vision to life. These grand structures took decades to complete, with wars waged and rulers changed in between. Yet the perseverance and commitment of these artists endured, driven by a love of God and divine inspiration. Their dedication, spanning generations, is reflected in every brushstroke and carved stone.
Often, it took research just to discover the names of these creators, many of whom remain unknown, buried within the walls of these sacred spaces. These churches have carried the Christian faith forward for centuries, through wars and turmoil, remaining steadfast in their purpose. Fast forward to today, and we see a different picture—megalomaniacs with photoshopped images and self-proclaimed titles, calling themselves doctors of theology without any formal study or understanding of the sacrifices made by the generations before them.
Today, many Christians seek promises, false prophecies, and convenient, twisted theology. The past generations gave their time, talent, and resources to Christ selflessly. Yet, in the present, we often see the pursuit of fame and wealth in God's name, which makes me wonder how far we've drifted from the true essence of faith."
