2025 is coming with many big/epic changes. Some I am super excited about and others super sad about. For those changes to happen; they hinged on this… after 20+ years of service; I have decided to retire from the US Coast Guard. As those other changes start to fall into place, I will keep you updated on what’s next.

Another great night at . This was Special Shape Twinkle Glow night. It was amazing and this is one of those things I will really miss when we leave Albuquerque permanently.

If you’re ever around Albuquerque then you should ride the and go eat . We had a date night back in December and I got to do it again tonight with the kids and it was awesome. It is the longest suspended tramway in the world!

Spent the week in and it I so beautiful. Loved seeing how they are getting ready for the 2024 men’s Open.

But the highlight of my trip was visiting at BHAWK. If you want to see a veteran owned company doing it right and being supported by the community then you need to go visit them. Plus the chicken sandwich is one of the best out there.

Secret location with jaw-dropping views…

If you venture just 45 mins northwest of Albuquerque towards Jemez, NM. There will be a small road that is easy to miss. It will take you down a long narrow road and at the end will be these amazing tunnels; Gilman Tunnels. If you go between April 15th - Dec 1st then you can drive through the tunnels.

These tunnels were used for many decades to run lumber on the Santa Fe Northwestern Railway.

These are an absolute must see if you are in the area.

Sunsets are one of my favorite things. It had been snowing and overcast all day and right when the sun was setting the clouds parted and we were gifted with this amazing sunset on top of the mountain in Santa Fe, NM.

Another hike in the books and it was a bucket list hike here in NM. I have been wanting to hike to the San Antonio Hot Springs for a year and if you don’t want to hike 10 miles then you have to wait until the Fire Road opens after the snow melt. Plus to be enjoyable you don’t want to do it in the middle of the summer with all the bugs and the heat. Oxbow Trail outside Roswell, NM proved to be an easy hike but one with Great Lake views. Not what I would have expected from the middle of a desert 🏜️. If you find yourself around the area; stop and doing this trail. It takes less than an hour for the 2.5 miles. #countryside_rving #roswellnm #hikesofnewmexico #hikingnewmexico #desertlandscape

Mears Trail south of Ouray, CO just off the Million Dollar Highway was an easy buy beautiful hike. If you hike all the way to the end then you come up on an old abandoned mine. The Perimeter Trail in Ouray, CO has been a bucket list hike for a long time and I am glad to finally check it off my bucket list. It was more difficult than anticipated because of the constant climb in elevation and the extreme narrow trail along the cliffs but it was amazing. #countryside_rving #ouray #visitouray #perimetertrail #ourayperimetertrail #ouraycolorado
