Hi guys, Tash here. Honestly honestly, if you’re reading this I THANK YOU for taking even just 5 minutes to read this, to see what I’m up to over here. In a world where literally millions of new projects are being created every hour of every day, the fact that you have found this post about my new podcast is just amazing. Truly, thank you. I mean it.
Way back in the depths of lockdown I think we all found ourselves searching for something to do that we’ve “always wanted to do but never had the time!” Being a professional actor, voice actor, singer and dancer usually found performing in Hamilton on the West End stage, I was also very much in the same boat, but do you know, I also thought to myself “jheez all those fantastic parents trying to hold down full time jobs while taking care of their little ones all day long and then also doing a bedtime story at night - what heroes”. With all the time in the world on my hands and nowhere to put my performing skills, I thought that a bedtime audiobook for young ones might be really sweet, and also a family member and I came up with the idea to have little ones write in with their ideas for the next part of the story might be fun too (which at the time because of lockdown, seemed like something great for kids to pass the time doing - and hopefully still will be!) To be honest, I didn’t even know if that was something parents might want or need, but I decided to write my first episode right there and then. Following that, I procrastinated for a good long while - hah - until now and roped in a whole bunch of friends and family also to help me set it up.
And so here we go, I’m doing it. A bi-monthly storytime podcast releasing on Mondays. Children have until Friday of the release week to send in their ideas so that we have enough time to get the next episode out in time. Send in those entries to [email protected]
If this sounds like something your children (or you grandchildren, nieces, nephews, godchildren etc) might be interested in, please let them know and if you’d like to, share it with friends and family who might also appreciate it.
I really really want this to be something that helps people, so please let me know your thoughts good or bad!
