Chelsa and Kevin became creative collaborators just a few months before the earthly plague of 2020. Together they began art production on a film that has never seen the light of day. Despite the downturn of man, the two remained good friends; doing what good friends do, sharing bowls and cat memes. In 2023, the two were once again in the same realm and timeline with the shared determination to mak
e things that go bump in the night. Dungeon of Delirium was conceptualized as a vessel to deliver VHS inspired nostalgia, Psychedelic bubble baths, and other handmade horror inspired curiosities. The Dungeon of Delirium will continuously evolve to honor our individual and shared creative obsessions for original videos, music, horror fiction and art production.
Q: What’s new in the Dung? (Kevin will love that I’ve further abbreviated Dungeon, from Dungey to now just straight Dung)
A: Kevin is busy scoring and adding audio to our upcoming 420 Special. While I am working on our 3rd or 4th web migration in a year? I’ve lost count. Either way, we will have a new home on the web and a new episode of “Druscilda’s Dungeon Of Delirium” on YouTube this Saturday 4/20!

I’ve been so anxious and worried about disappointing everyone or anyone and when I stop to think about it, I don’t even know who the hell I’m imagining. It’s cool, I know you’re only here for the memes 🤡
But in case no one has told you; it is okay to be a creative and need to take a break from your creations. It’s okay to put down social media and remember what influenced your creativity before it ever existed. It’s okay to be an artist and disappoint people every single day 🖤

Sometimes I fall under the devastating affects of being human, and as such I don’t like to socialize/social media, leave my bed, brush my hair, or participate in anything that requires effort on my part to sustain my very life. It’s more familiar than it is exhausting these days.
But I know so many people can relate, so all this to say, life is a horror show but you’re not alone 👽 (threateningly)

We are in the thick of our first film production on ‘Druscilda’s Dungeon of Delirium’ our take on a retro variety show with even more all original horror stories, animation and psychedelic puppetry to accompany our audio podcast 🎬
Druscilda measures about a tall American Girl Doll so our set is all scaled to 1/3- 1/4 scale. Everything has been handcrafted and meticulously executed by our tiny team! We’ve poured our blood, sweat, and tears into this cake and hope you’ll devour the entire thing.

I wanted to share a sneak peek of the character concepts and set design for ‘Druscilda’s Dungeon of Delirium’- a web series we’re launching to coincide with the podcast on Valentines Day 2024 🥀
Whenever designing a set for production you need to first pull everything out of your brain an apply it to canvas (anything you want- sketch, collage, paint, PowerPoint. I’m using whiteboards in canva).
You need to do this so you can make sure your idea will work and to create your to-do list and prop acquisitions list to dress your set. You will have a lot more success if you are able to account for every single item you need in a set before it’s even built. I absolutely deviate from my list as things evolve because you’ve got to adapt when things don’t go as planned or you imagine something cooler. But it’s especially important to lay this ground work when you’re using an unconventional miniature scale- since we’re likely making every single thing you’ll see on screen 🥵
But now the hard part (for me) is over- This initial organization is always hard for me because I have so many wild hairs & ideas BUT I have to contain them to size (small) & budget (none) and I have to translate the picture my brain paints into a tangible format for my team to see what I see and where the heck we are going.

Ending 2023 on a high note. I closed Little Ghost today to spend 2024 focusing on my creations & stories for the Dungeon of Delirium, so it felt kismet that I was able to cast my very first marionette head tonight before the ball dropped. This is the first time I’ve ever done any of this, so I expected a bit of a trial and error, but to my shock and delight the first cast I poured came out perfect.
