Another flight attendant from Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has disappeared in Canada after a flight from Islamabad to Toronto, according to report. Maryam Raza, who was part of the flight crew on PIA flight PK 782, went missing after the plane landed in Toronto. She left a note in her room with her uniform saying 'Shukria PIA' (Thank you, PIA).

Maryam was supposed to work on PIA flight PK 784 from Toronto to Karachi. Last year, another PIA flight attendant, Ramzan Gul, also went missing in Canada after flight PK-798 landed in Toronto. He had boarded the flight from Islamabad as part of the crew.

The Pakistani rupee hit an all-time low on Tuesday against the US dollar, reaching Rs222 in the interbank market despite an announcement by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) regarding the resumption of the multi-billion-dollar loan programme.

The currency had nosedived Rs4.25, or 1.97%, against the US dollar in the interbank market on Monday.

The local currency continued its downward trend today and depreciated further by Rs6.90 against the greenback.
