It's that time again! Here's the Mardi Gras parade schedule for 2024 (subject to change). Krewe de Jeanne d'Arc kicks it off in the French Quarter on Twelfth Night at 7pm (also Joan's birthday) while Phunny Phorty Phellows roll down the St. Charles Streetcar line at the same time!

Keep up with all the latest this Mardi Gras and, of course, tune in for the sounds of the season at wwoz.org!

SHREVEPORT, La. – The economic impact of the 2023 Shreveport-Bossier Mardi Gras parades was nearly $20 million, according to a new study conducted by the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau.

Random Fact Thursday: March 9th is the latest date on which Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) can fall. The last time this happened was in 1943. Prior to 1943 it last happened in 1886 & It wont happen again until 2038!
