What do you do when life gets pretty hectic?

Take a nice break!

Here in Canada, when you start getting busy at work, it is easy to lose sight of your own health. Our goal for this vlog is to inspire you (especially couples) to travel once in a while OR to go back to things that you really love doing together.

Coming from a long distance relationship, we understand how important it is to PAUSE and enjoy each other’s company even just for a short period of time. It is very exciting to look forward to those short breaks where you can both recalibrate your lives and form deeper connections.

SO… We hope that by sharing with you our insights, you get to think about what you want to do in the future. Something new. Something exciting. It doesn’t have to be camping in the mountains, but do an activity that brings your heart peace and joy. 💕

~Find someone worth waiting for ~

You want to commit to a long distance relationship. We get that. But are you certain that you are with the right person to embark this journey with?

LDR will always be about compromise. Some people tend to get impulsive and make promises that they will soon break.

So before you commit to this complicated process, you first have to assess if you are with someone worth ʟᴏᴠɪɴɢ. Worth your ᴛɪᴍᴇ. Worth your ᴇꜰꜰᴏʀᴛꜱ. Worth the ᴄʜᴀɴᴄᴇꜱ ʏᴏᴜ ᴀʀᴇ ᴡɪʟʟɪɴɢ ᴛᴏ ᴛᴀᴋᴇ.

When you finally find each other’s true colours, that’s when reality kicks in. LDR is crucial because it can take weeks, months, and years of patiently waiting. And in the process, things will definitely change and that’s when relationships go south.

You can’t overlook the fact that the person you are with—may or may not be able to handle LDR. You’ve got to be ready to make significant commitments to this person AND vice versa.

Don’t fret though. LDR is terrifying, but if you and your partner are both FULLY committed, LDR will make you appreciate your relationship more.

We hope you find “The One” because the best part of life is having someone worth waiting for.

Your LDR is over, now what?

It feels amazing sleeping early at night knowing that you have someone to hug real tight.

You don’t have to be on your phone all the time. When you were in LDR, you’re probably on your phone like 24/7 waiting for his or her next message, call, or social media posts.

It’s exciting to wake up each day knowing that there’s so much you can finally do together. But of course, you should be setting realistic expectations.

Being in LDR makes you plan out a lot of activities when you get to be with each other. But guess what—there’s 100% chance that things will not work out the way you wanted them to. So just embrace every moment you have with each other. Recognize that your partner is finally with you and you have FOREVER to go.

Living in the present is important. This is your time to build a happy and healthy relationship. LDR can sometimes grow your feelings apart and reuniting is the perfect time to change that.

So just keep an open mind and communicate with clear intentions. Being together is a whole new challenge that you both have to work on together.

This new journey won’t be easy, but it’s going to be worth it.

STAY IN LOVE. That’s important. You and your partner don’t have to blend in to be accepted by the society. This is YOUR love story. Own it.

And remember—BEING TOGETHER is your answered prayer. Embrace that thought and cherish each moment you have.

Yes, living together seems to make things appear different, but you’ll soon realize that everything’s still the same. 🥰
