What an amazing night celebrating the life of Daniel Johnston! We had our own little Maryland "Hi, How Are You Day" & raised $1,681 for Hi, How Are You Project . I set up a little recording station & bootlegged the show. I also walked around with a portable recorder & gave attendees a hearty "Hi, How Are You?" & Invited them to share some words about mental health. I plan on splicing these with the bootleg & voice memo recordings of rehearsal to make a limited run cassette. Thanks to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, & played. Thank you Daniel Johnston , your music makes this world a better place.

Here's a little preview of the Daniel Johnston covers we'll be hearing on Sunday. I always loved Daniel's raw and vulnerable DIY style of pouring his heart and soul into a cheap tape deck. We've got some great local musicians lined up for Sunday & I asked them all to send a raw phone recording of a rehearsal. I'll be adding more as they come in & I'll be capturing some live audio at the show so check back!
