People I've Loved started in 2011 when Carissa Potter left Colpa Press to focus on creating a stationary line that would bridge the gap between people by helping them have authentic and sometimes difficult conversations.

Carissa thinks about each card as a form of performance art that choreographs interactions between humans in various types of relationships. Giving in to nostalgic thoughts on the past, buried longings and hopes for the future, People I've Loved's product line embraces the whole range of emotions. They are “in search of the miraculous” yet tragic definition of what it means to exist, in this time and space. And feel that they should make time to share it.

Our newsletter is where you will find all the information you need to slay injustice.

What to expect → every two weeks we demystify one complex issue of law. Each issue includes three sections. Crumpets (juicy historical context), tea time (in-depth reporting on how the issue plays out in the real world), and counting leaves (the unbiased statistics and data behind it all).

And you get all that, twice a month, for only $1.

Plus, three percent of each subscription will go to nonprofit organizations on the frontlines of equal access to justice. Spending money feels better when you're supporting great causes. 👏🏻

“It’s all about being a voice for the voiceless. People who can’t speak for themselves, who don’t have a mic, don’t have a say.” -Ice Cube

No one should be voiceless in our justice system. But that’s not the case in reality. There is a price gap in our justice system that keeps a lot of people from seeking and getting justice. Because it costs too much. What’s right shouldn’t cost too much. Justice shouldn’t be a matter of cost. Or else those without money become the voiceless victims of our legal system. While the powerful and rich fill the courtrooms of justice.

We stand with the voiceless. Just like so many of you out there, we believe it’s up to us to use our platforms for the right reasons.

LawBlah’s mission is to help create a future where no one is above the law, and it’s not above anyone either. How are we helping? Demystifying the law so it’s accessible to everyone. Why? Because we can’t fix what we don’t understand. And the powerful and elite should not be the only ones who get how our laws and legal justice system works. The people need to get it. So they can protect and defend their rights to fairness in it as well.

The legal system is the foundation of fairness in society. It establishes the code of justice. It’s how balance and order are defined. And whether or not that balance and order is fair or unfair. Democratic or undemocratic. Without a fair code of justice, a peaceful and prosperous democracy is impossible.

Let’s make sure that justice is fair. To do that, we need to figure out what’s really broken and why. And the only way we can do that is to know how our legal system works.

Don’t let the law be above you. Subscribe to our newsletter and you will get all the information you need to slay injustice. Two issues per month for only $12 per year. And it's written by an award winning lawyer.

Plus, anyone who signs up in the month of February will receive a $10 credit to our shop!

Failure to create a domestic terrorist list is a symptom of racist and biased policing. 👎🏽

When it comes to foreign terrorism and gang violence, America brings down the hammer. The same can’t be said for domestic terrorism. Why is that? It all boils down to race.

Gang members and terrorists are seen by the public as people of color. Domestic terrorists on the other hand, are overwhelmingly white men.

We have the Specially Designated Global Terrorist List and Specially Designated Nationals Blocked Persons List. In 1987, Los Angeles created the first ever gang member tracking database and now the entire US uses gang databases to track down gang members and SUSPECTED gang members.

In 2017, Portland admitted that 81% of its list were racial minorities. In 2018, the Chief of Detectives for NYPD testified that NYC’s gang database was 99% people of color.

So where are all the domestic terrorist lists?!

How can we have databases that routinely label people of color as threats to public safety, and not have some for white male citizens? This is another symptom of America’s biased and racist policing epidemic.

That’s the tea on justice that’s unjust. ☕️

A common theme we see when it comes to big companies, is that they always have made sure to cover their a*sses.

One of the reasons is that certain states offer legal benefits to big corporations that bring big money into the state. And there are two main types of states that offer special benefits to aerospace companies to avoid accountability for harm to victims of their wrongdoing. Watch the video to find out what benefits those are and which states offer them.

The aerospace industry knows how to best evade punishment at the expense of its victims. And that’s that’s unjust.✔️
