HUMP welcomes Jess Toasty

Jess shares some words this week as the self proclaimed Disco/House groover provides us an hour of power in prep for some weekend Mimosas!

I discovered my passion for playing disco during COVID, and basically the more I explore the genre, the more I like it. I wanted to include some of my favourite disco house songs from the last few months in this mix.

At the moment I'm really enjoying the music coming out of the duo Wh0 - they've had a lot of releases recently and it looks like they won't be slowing down any time soon. The last song in the mix is called Bonheur by Aevion - I find it really uplifting and love the synthy sounds throughout the song and this was the vibe that inspired a lot of my mix. Purple Disco Machine is another artist that I find I'm playing in almost every set at the moment - he keeps putting out fire remixes and they always hit the mark.

I was also inspired by the vibes on a Sunday afternoon, drinking with friends, making the most of the weekend, and watching the sun go down. I made this mix with that vibe in mind.
