If you aren’t using blog categories, you should be! This is one of the easier ways to help google better understand what your website is about AND help viewers be able to find information they are looking for.

Also, don’t forget to SEO optimize and design the category pages. This can be easily missed.

My top reasons why using Canva for a logo is a bad idea. Personally, I love Canva and use it for my social media graphics and even some of my PDF files. I'm a huge fan of Canva, but it has its place. Canva is NOT for logos.

One of the things I see most in a website audit is missing or incorrect CTA's. CTA's are "Call to actions". These are often buttons on your website that tell your viewer what to do next.

CTA's should be placed often and in strategic places. For example:
the top right corner of your navigation
the first section of your website
under your services section

Brand strategy and psychology should be implemented BEFORE the visual design. This is why I always start with the strategy session first. During my strategy session, I use a quiz to determine what brand archetype and season personality the brand is. Once I know this, I can immediately begin to bring together a design that is going to showcase the brand authentically. For example, a winter + lover brand will have deep contrast between colors, use rich blacks and bright reds. Shapes will be geometric with sharp edges and textures that exude luxury.

Starting with psychology makes visual branding so much easier. Do you know your brand psychology profile?
