Negativity bias is the reason why people notice and feel negative things more intensely than positive things.
This is the reason why negative things have a bigger impact on our mental health.
This means that we could experience a bunch of positive things but one negative thing could ruin our entire day.
One way to offset negativity bias is by expressing gratitude.
There’s really no reason to be negative all of the time, so practice being grateful for yourself and others, and it will replace those negative emotions with positive feelings.
Don’t know where to start?
Give thanks for being alive by feeling your breath fill your lungs, and your stomach expanding and extracting with each breath.
Start with this, and you’ll notice your life to open up to new positive opportunities.
Don’t forget this! Save this post as a reminder to practice gratitude.
And follow us to become wiser.
