Mirza Ahmad Nayrizi, a successful businessman and landowner, was a prominent Baha'i from Nayriz who received regular letters from 'Abdu'l-Baha and Shoghi Effendi. Ahmad Vahidi became a Baha'i after investigating the faith following a challenge from Karbelai Husayn's shop. Though initially dismissive, Ahmad's interest grew and led him to embrace the Baha'i faith.
