Checked out Carlos Rodon’s final rehab start before rejoining the Yankees last night.

Final line: 3 2/3 innings pitched, no runs, one hit, two walks, eight strikeouts, 58 pitches. He topped 96 mph with his fastball and mixed in some nasty breaking stuff.

Rodon got a nice hand from the High-A Hudson Valley crowd as he exited. Next stop: The Bronx!

Shortstop Anthony Volpe was promoted to Hudson Valley last month, and has provided the Renegades with a jolt since joining the Fishkill-based team.

Since today is MLB’s “Field of Dreams” game, I’ll throw it back to this story I wrote two years ago.

Dwier Brown, who played John Kinsella in the movie, called me in August, 2019 asking to write an article to promote his appearance at our local minor league park. He had some good stories to tell!

Dwier Brown, one of the stars of the iconic film “Field of Dreams,” will be in attendance at Dutchess Stadium for a Hudson Valley Renegades game.
