*H.E John Dramani Mahama Visits Ketu South on Tuesday*

The flag bearer and leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, as part of his campaign tour in the Volta Region will tomorrow Tuesday 18th of August, 2020, visit Ketu South constituency.

The former President will first pay a courtesy call on the Paramount Chiefs of Klikor and Somey, after which he would address a gathering around the "goat market" and proceed to Adina and Blekusu, to sympathize with the coastal communities affected by the tidal waves along the coast of Ketu South.

The entourage would then move to Aflao Gakli, a settler community behind the Diamond Cement Factory, where the former president would interact with the people.

The flag bearer will then proceed to the palace of the Paramount Chief of the Aflao traditional area, from where he would be wrapping up his tour in Ketu South constituency.

The team would then proceed to Ketu North constituency.

We call on all party executives at all levels, to help facilitate a successful tour of the flag bearer and leader of the party.

The whole NPP was formed because Rawlings was in power.

Everybody does something because something happened. Even God!!! You cannot sack and humiliate a man who was using his own money to save live just because he won't allow your criminals to steal from Korle Bu and expect me to be happy.

Akufo Addo told us that he came to protect the public purse. But he has found a way to humiliate everyone who is preventing his gang from stealing our money. The Auditor-General general is a perfect example. You have to be a thief to find favour in this government. Just saying that Nana Addo is not corrupt in itself is corruption. (Won't be a bad headline)

In 2017, though they knew everything I said was true, they called Dr Anyah and told him that the CID was coming to investigate my allegations. When they come he should tell them that everything I said was not true. Dr Anyah said "no. I won't do that to A Plus. Everything A Plus said is very true. I've already told the CID that everything he said is true. I wrote the petition he delivered to the president." That is why he was sacked!!! You see the incorruptible man we spent our lives supporting? Very dishonest man.

We are being told by K. T. Hammond that “the military is at the Aflao border to make sure you vote if you are a Ghanaian and if you have the constitutional right to vote. That’s all there is. They are not electoral officers but they are peacekeeping forces. They are keeping the peace.”

I repeat;

Citizenship is a question of law. Neither K. T. Hammond, the military nor anyone can decide who is or who is not a citizen of Ghana.

I have cited the case of Bonito Olympio whose father was Sylvanus Olympio, a former President of Togo.

The NLC attempted to deport him to Togo only for the then Justice Wiredu to hold that both Bonito and Sylvanus are Ghanaians by descent.

Comity requires that if nobody is questioning Mr. Hammond’s citizenship then he too should not be questioning the citizenship of others.

I find his statement and attitude frightening and deeply disturbing. I reject it in its entirety.

I also call on the military brass not to allow its men and women to be used as citizenship inspectors!!

We are a peaceful nation because we live in peace. We must keep it that way.
