Each episode guests from Rita's past will share a photograph to start off the interview, then they take a stroll down memory lane. I had an idea that awoke me in the middle of the night a few weeks ago. This idea caught wind and two of my favourite humans helped me bring it to life in such a short time. I still can’t believe it's happening?! Since, they have also become my co-hosts and boy have we
had some fun. Eeeeek - You never know what can happen once you put an idea in motion...
So next week on Mother's Day, May 9th, we will be releasing our first podcast called 'Yore Stories'. It's a place where I interview my favourite story telling friends and family. My feature guest ( each episode ) will show me a photograph to lead the conversation down memory lane. Every show will end with an original song and conversation with some of my most beloved music making friends I've met through this wild walk of life. Been a little busy to podcast but plans are in the works for the next.
In the meantime I am excited to share the second issue of Sterkte with you all, another passion project Becks and I are a part of. I know we've talked about it on our podcast so we figured we'd share it for your reading pleasure. Ooooooo the possibilities!!

As promised from our last episode, a snapshot of the time my cute cousin came to town and my mom decided to perm our bangs. Ha ha, egads, what was she thinking? I remember my mom said it was going to make my sister and I look older - Good thing we had our Archies to dive our blushed faces into.
I just love 'the ridiculous' moments of life. As a matter of fact, that is pretty much what this podcast is about. Yore Stories is simply a conversation of story sharing among my friends and family, along with my wonderful cohosts Becks and Jesse. We conclude each show featuring a beautiful music maker spinning a song of theirs. It’s jammed packed with lots ‘o’ giggles, oh and a few tears when things get heavy. Genuine sharing folks.

My next Yore Stories guest Tiffany Jarva remembers always having some sort of plaid shirt in her closet, and how each shirt is somewhat reminiscent of her love of the outdoors. She says she loves being outside (and those shirts!) thanks to her aunt, her Finnish heritage, and being raised in northwestern Ontario.

Came across this photo the other day and I was in complete awe. Someday I may paint this scene. My Grandma Dolly is watching over my sis and I in this shot, so are the seagulls. She was such a gem.
